I thought I would share this link for checking your outstanding Amazon returns as they keep burying it deeper and deeper for some reason. This is useful if you have several returns and want to check their status quickly. Otherwise, you need to go through each order one by one, and that can be a pain, if you have many orders.

Enjoy!

Every return = $5 Kohl's cash! Usually do about 15 returns a month. Too bad the KC is only good for a week other wise I'd save them and buy a creami

Because it is abuse.
Amazon promotes sellers who sell fakes and cheap products, and you call our returns "abuse"? That's non-sense! Amazon only has a 30 day return policy. One of the worst in the industry. Most products break juuust after that 30 days, and we can't return. The 30 day policy leaves little room for return-abuse. Plus, as long as items are still new in packaging, there is no abuse. Consumers changing their mind is just the cost of doing business.

Costco on the other hand, sure, I will say people abuse that policy; but not Amazon's.

My account got locked after like 4 returns. Had to make a new one because I heard it's a painful process trying to get it unlocked.

I've gotten warning emails from Amazon about return abuse even though I only return stuff maybe once every 3-4 months. Haven't gotten account locked and maybe it's just Bezos trying to scare people, but it's weird to read this thread with people saying they've sent back 1000 used condoms or whatever with zero consequences

Yeah this is BS. Been a prime member since day one averaging a dozen returns per month, twice that around holidays. Not a single issue.

I gotta ask what exactly are you buying and returning so much every month?

Useless PSA. Amazon refunds your money as soon as tracking is uploaded to UPS or USPS system, which is usually less than 24 hours. This applies whether you buy from Amazon or third party seller.

I return stuff all the time. And returning it to Kohl's always gets me $5 Kohl's cash. So I'll return a couple each visit on multiple transactions and get $10. Then I'll repeat a few more times that week and have a nice amount of Kohl's cash.

I often use it to get toys. If just one return, I can get a pack of 5 hot wheels for $.50. It's great!

I got a notice about abuse a couple of years ago. I called AMZ and they told me not to worry about it.

I do believe that they used to ban people. But I think that practice has died down quite a bit now.

Besides, it's not AMZ that takes the hit when we make returns. It's the seller (the product supplier) that does!

You have to return a lot, and I mean an unhealthy amount a lot, to get banned. It's really hard to do.

Sounds like a challenge!

Or has had a personal experience in it. I ordered some car brake rotors to do a job, they shipped me the wrong part a tie rod ends, so I sent them back for a refund after weeks of waiting for my refund I called and was told I sent back the incorrect items and the and they disposed of it. That if I wanted a refund I need to send back the "correct" item. I sent back what they shipped me and tried to explain the error. Was told I was "abusing the system" and got banned. Had to dispute charge with my bank to get my money back. I had been a prime member for over a decade….maybe returned 20 things in my lifetime to Amazon and shopped there at least once a week. It probably depends on who you get customer service wise and if they are helpful or power tripping.

I received the wrong item once. I went to great lengths to explain to the customer service rep before returning it. Also marked the box repeatedly. Fortunately, I didn't have a problem, but I expected to have the same problem you had.

Not true. Most items are shipped by Amazon, Even if it's a marketplace seller. That means Amazon spends a lot of time and money packing and shipping your product, And then processing your return. There's still a large cost to them.

Anyone else have returns with UPS numbers that aren't trackable and sit pending in your account for weeks even after they've been dropped off at UPS? Status: waiting for receipt of item before refund....they seem to be stuck at Amazon sorting

They used pooled ups numbers on Amazon returns (per ups store)
