I thought I would share this link for checking your outstanding Amazon returns as they keep burying it deeper and deeper for some reason. This is useful if you have several returns and want to check their status quickly. Otherwise, you need to go through each order one by one, and that can be a pain, if you have many orders.
Enjoy!

FBA sellers account for most things sold on Amazon.
FBA fees are charged to the seller by Amazon even if the item is returned. And disposal fees are added to that, if the item isn't resalable. And, to add insult to injury, if a seller has too many returns, their "account health" can suffer which can lead to eventual suspension.
Bottomline for buyers: Return your items packaged and unused like they were received, to save the seller at least a little bit of money.
It all sounds like a business plan that needs to include the variables and costs for that sales platform.
And if you do a little research, about 97% of new sellers on Amazon are from China that is highly competitive. The same item may be selling under a dozen brand names, but don't forget that China can mail some packages from China with tracking, cheaper than I can mail same across town.
Now, if they choose to use FBA instead of a domestic fulfillment facility that the largest are located in NY and California, they better have their business model perfected that includes lossage. Because for certain, there is someone waiting to take their spot. Personally, I could not deal with the hustlers as a seller and prefer not to as a buyer. There are a lot of unethical morons in this world of almost 8 Billion people and they breed more of the same.
Nevertheless, I don't do the try on clothes thing, but seldom return anything and if I do, it was either grossly misrepresented, damaged or used. And those returns are cut down to almost nothing when sold AND shipped by Amazon.
The problem with most Unions, including the millions that work for government, is that the lazy and worthless are often hired by preferential treatment and paid the same as the best that removes the incentive to do better. 'Everyone is equal' is Socialism/Marxism.
Unions were created for better working conditions, such as miners and better pay for the hard work and dangers imposed. Today, I have no idea why the millions in government and elsewhere need a union. If you are a quality employee, the employer will pay you more to keep you.
We are a union and non-union shop and we pay the best in the union a $100 more each week to keep them and they can take the truck home. That is how it works in a capitalist world.
Tell us about these hall of fame perks
Amazon owns Zappos.. lol
FYI
I've had an issue recently with two returns where I was informed of the process for their returns.
When you send and item back, whether it be via ups or even their own warehouse drop off (which is what I did), you are given an "advance" on your refund.
This means they will reverse the refund if the item never gets to its destination. I understand that policy if I never returned the item but in my case I did return it and still go charged.
So their current policy is to charge you for an item that has been handed over already to either them directly (which was my case) or to a 3rd Party responsible for returning it to them.
The only way I found out about this was because I noticed in my bank statements I was getting charged by amazon but couldn't recall ordering anything recently. Went back to look at my return status and it clearly said returned to amazon warehouse but still in transit to their return facility. Somehow it got lost in their possession but I got charged for it instead.
Spoke with their support team and got it corrected but this policy seems very flawed and hopefully wasn't designed to intentionally take money back from people who wouldn't notice after their refund came in the first time.
I requested that get investigated and changed but never got a response back from my escalation.
Also downvoted the thread bc it's stupid

They've got some "problems" with their system.

I had prime. My account was banned for too many returns. Which is ridiculous.
Had 3 returns in a Short space of time. They were bought to be used together. And another item was faulty.
I was someone spending hundreds per week on Amazon. Their loss.
Amazon can and will ban you. It appears to be random, and algorithm based. I was one of the chosen. There are many others just look it up.
Why not ask why Amazon continues to make a horrendous UI, without any notice? Go lick Bezos's lizard skin boots more.
