Price changed from $99 to $149.....
Please be very very careful. You might receive screen replaced phone, which is bad quality. I think some people received used good phone and some received screen replaced phone. You know you are taking your chance and return is such an hassle. Some people in the previous deal received brand new unactivated phone, but I think it is just rare case.

1st phone has white spot and sent to Apple. Apple denied the warranty due to 3rd party modification, and I think the screen is replaced. Still under warranty until 04/22, which is useless.

2nd phone, screen is cracked and screen is replaced too. Still under warranty until 03/22, which is useless too.

3rd phone, heavily used and out of warranty. Screen seems original. I can see bad scratch front and back.

Be very very careful and know you are taking your chance.
Incorrect.
1st month service required for activation.
2nd month service is not required for unlocking.
Phone will unlock after 60 Days.

I am going to give it another week or 10 days since the orders were just marked as canceled as of yesterday. No point in disputing a charge if it will be refunded anyways. The order was still marked as "processing" as of a couple of days ago, but now that it is officially canceled, I expect the refunds to be processed.

I don't care if they cancelled my order, but what pisses me off is they fully charged my account without delivering the product and claim no charges were ever made, leaving us to chase our money back
Total bs how they handled this entire deal, but having a charge finalized before an item ships is not uncommon. They should have immediately refunded it though. Not only that, they should not have sold products that were "out of stock" in the first place. Utterly shitty company.

Yeah, I like to save disputes for times when I really need them. Who knows, this may be one of them, but having the $117 x 2 charges sit on my credit cards for a couple of weeks is not going to kill me. Even if I had to pay the statement, it's not like I will go broke because of that, lol.

It is not just for money, it is for peaceful mind. The longer you wait, more likely people forgets about getting this money back, unless you add it to your calendar and set a reminder. Nowadays are already frustrating, and we have to spend time/energy to deal with a sh**ty company like this.

Yeah, I get the anger, but the sad truth is that if this exact deal was available again, most of us would jump on it again. Filing a dispute may put you on their black list, which is not worth it to me vs just waiting a couple of weeks. While I am angry at them for everything they did, I also know that most of us are not here to make them money. I was buying these phones to trade in immediately, so it's not like we are the kind of customers that companies will swoon over. Still doesn't mean that they need to be so shitty in how they deal with us, but I for sure don't want to get banned for no good reason. Putting a reminder on your calendar is not hard. If I don't see a refund in a couple of weeks, I will definitely consider filing a dispute.

I doubt they will have $99 'deals' like this again. Even there is, I doubt many of us will fall for it again, considering the frustration we have experienced. Cheat me once, shame on you. Cheat me twice, shame on me.

For a ~$50 saving (you can get a brand new ip11 for $160 in a Metro store), it doesn't worth doing business with them anymore.

Yeah, it has been frustrating to not receive the phone that we ordered, but this really wasn't bad enough for me not to try again, assuming the refund shows up on my cc in a few days. Now if they don't refund without a dispute, I will most likely not order from them again.

I was ordering the phone to straight away trade it in to Google Fi, so new wouldn't make any difference to me. And the Metro stores aren't known to be hassle free either, and many people have spent hours at their stores and come away frustrated. Plus you need to port a number, and you need to wait 6 months for their phones to be unlocked in case you change your mind about trading in the phone but instead want to use it for yourself or sell it. So Metro isn't really a walk in the park either.

So the lesson learned is that sometimes deals can be lotteries, whether the seller is shady/shitty like Total Wireless or not. We have all had many orders canceled by other vendors. This one was just particularly annoying because they turned around and sold "our" phones for $149.

Yep … I agree. I've know for a while that it's an absolute nightmare if you ever have to call in and deal with their reps, but I still bought a few phones from them. And if I see the $99 deal pop up again and think there's any chance it might fulfill, I'll give it a try (luckily, I missed it this time). I fully expect that some bargain deals come with the potential for a headache. It could be a while before a refund goes through and/or I may have to file a CC dispute or set a reminder to follow up, but I'm 100% sure I'll get my money back in the end. I wouldn't waste my time calling to talk to TW though … I'd either wait for it to happen when they finally process refunds or do the dispute if that is taking too long.

Exactly. I just don't get why people are willing to add to their frustration by calling these hopeless reps knowing very well that they are totally useless. It's like intentionally adding to your pain instead of staying calm and just waiting jt out. You don't need to call these idiots and waste hours, only to file a dispute a day later. Just stay calm, wait a couple of weeks, then file a dispute if you really need to.

The refund process takes around 30 days from my experience. Had 2 phones that was owned a refund. Took 20+ days for each of them. One closer to 30 days. Calling the their department does nothing.

People here are venting or trying to make a statement but nothing they do now will net them a faster return, including filing a chargeback.

Good to know. Yeah, definitely not calling them. Will just wait it out. The orders finally show canceled.

Btw, they are back in stock now. Just ordered another one at $175 (with plan) - 15% = $152.49 + tax. Plus t c b has 12% back.

Lmk if you see the cash back track, I tried it last year and it never worked.
