The product description says "TUV tested and certified". That's not UL, but it is the German equivalent of UL.

Assuming the description is truthful and accurate, it should be as safe as UL certified.

I have something like this in my laptop bag. Very handy for travel purposes, but how useful it is as an everyday surge protector.... probably not so much.

Need a strip like this that can also charge my laptop over USB-C... I know $13.99 for something like that isn't possible, but everything I find is $50+.

yea these Chinese companies never certify anything unlike GE and Belkin, Tripp lite, etc. high risk of fire when you're sleeping and no liability
