Though counterfeit cards are rampant on Amazon, and Amazon does comingle their stock with marketplace sellers, Samsung has a program you can download that checks the authenticity of the drive. No fakes have been able to pass the check, and probably never will, as it would increase the cost of making the fake too much. Just download the program from samsung and return it if it doesn't pass the authentication check. Returns are easier with Amazon, though, and I've stopped buying from Newegg until they sustain better business practices for a considerable amount of time.

Wyze recently added exFAT support to V3 and supposedly more of their cameras lineup, that update now allows up to 256GB microsd to be used in their cameras. Although, I have used 128 GB and 200GB unofficially on V2 cameras the past 4-5 years with no issues as well.

Unfortunately, best practice (in my opinion) means you should test them yourself via something like h2testw. I think there are other additional recommended programs, but that is the main one I've seen recommended.

Personally, I would trust Newegg a little more than Amazon in terms of fakes, but I would still test the card. In general though, I prefer to avoid supporting Newegg because they're not very honest... And the return process might be more difficult than Amazon. YMMV. Maybe they improved a little bit since they were called out recently by a YouTuber

I stoped buying from them years before that.. It was years of crap the consumers put up with.. It was just no one had a big enough microphone to get the atention to the verry long lasting and large problems that have existed..

Thanks! Was waiting for this.

No issues so far with our Blackvue dashcams, that would all eventually continuously reboot when using SanDisk Extreme Pro cards. Some would get the 'drive is corrupt; needs repair" message when plugging in the computer, meaning bad sectors. Even Blackvue said SanDisk cards have issues and to use Samsung. Yes they're both Korean but in this case they actually work better.
