I just called Boost , their customer service barely spoke English
got transferred to the cancelation department
the woman named Amanda told me that this is the price and the device is prepaid and I will not be charged if I don't use the device
If I want to use the device then I can buy a plan from their website.

I hope this helps

Any limitations On How I Use My Device? If you get a Device from DISH Wireless or a DISH Wireless authorized retailer without paying full price (MSRP) for the Device, you agree (1) within 60 days to activate and use this Device on the DISH Wireless network and (2) not to resell, trade in, or export, or participate or profit in the resale, trade in, or export of the Device to a third party until you have activated and used the Device on the DISH Wireless network and met all your other financial and contractual obligations to us. If you do this without meeting your obligations, we reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary, including charging you for the difference between the Device's full price and the price you paid for it, and seeking recovery of related damages. If you have a separate agreement with Boost to acquire, purchase, or lease a Device, any restrictions on resale in that agreement will also apply, so please refer to the terms of any such agreement to understand your rights to resell your Device. Any tampering with, reprogramming, reflashing, or unlocking of this Device without DISH Wireless's permission violates DISH Wireless's and third parties' rights under state and federal laws and could subject you to civil or criminal liability.

It appears talking with Technical Support is one way to get the cancellation initiated. It takes a few minutes but Technical Support was able to generate a case/request for the cancelation. By their process, it may take 24 hours to get the order actually canceled. The Technical Support rep provided case number for each cancelation.

Just not worth the hassles and unknowns to get some 4400 mA power pack + USB-C cable.

It appears this thing is locked to Boost Mobile and cannot use as 'Wifi-EGG' for out of the country travel?

What financial or contract obligations though? because there's none beyond the one dollar the item cost to purchase

This Is F up. I just canceled after seeing the RED BOLD Warning.
Then I read other comments that the RED BOLD Warning is not the truth. Please removed It if that statement is untrue!
Why cause so much confusion!
What is the truth?
This is Fking frustrating!
Who posts that warning to trick people to cancel!
Some dude that has 1000 of these, that needs to offload them on Ebay.
No one is gonna pay 16 bucks when they can pay a dollar.
More people that cancel the less competition there is. I just wish I knew about this earlier, I would have bought 10 of them and maybe schuck it for the battery.

This isn't possible or even legal as no contract was signed.... a check mark is not binding...
Lol. A checkbox is all that is required to register males in the United States for the draft service. Just sayin…

How are they gonna know whos selling it on eBay? Buy it themselves and compare it to who bought it from them?

Well that's an hour of my life I won't get back trying to cancel this thing.

Took 4 phone calls, 2 lost in the phone tree, 1 hang up after talking to 3-4 people and 1 after talking to 2 different people.
Sometimes a dollar is just a dollar.

Just bought one. Hesitated earlier in the day as I'm not sure I need this but it's only a dollar. Hopefully the eBay unlock works and there's a way to set TTL to use with T-Mobile.

Charging you full price seems odd if you don't use it within 60 days. What if it was stolen and exploded.

Two other things that the sales rep who initiated the cancelation for me said. 1) there will be no refunds of the purchase price and 2) if you end up having to return it due to the cancelation not working, you have to return it by the same method it was shipped to you. His suggestion in case cancelation doesn't work is to refuse the delivery. I asked about returning to a local store and he said that would not work.
