Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
It's full AndroidTV. Meaning that it has the Playstore, Google assistant, and can also side load apps very easily
Remote is very good, except for the dedicated Netflix, etc. buttons (I don't care for those)
I haven't used it for gaming tho
I've had it for about 1 year and also have a Chromecast with remote. They're basically the same thing. For the price, I'd go for this anytime, I've seen them new at Walmart for $15. Price new is $20.
I would stay away from the Fire sticks, tv, etc. (unless you're really invested in that ecosystem)
And in haven't really used a RokuTV, but I can't see how it would be better than this, specially with the AndroidOS backing it
It doesn't state that the VIPoutlet listing is refurbished, but is it safe to assume it's a refurb? If that's the case, I'd rather pay the extra $4 to get it directly from Walmart.

can these be hacked or have sideloaded options?
These are great and mine has replaced my older Firestick 4k. I followed a step-by-step video on the Troypoint Youtube channel and installed software which facilitates side-loading. I was able to get Roblox side-loaded and working fairly well on mine.
I also purchased an OTG adapter, and use mine with a mouse, keyboard and expanded storage on a USB flash drive.

I am tired of casting off my phone to my TV which usually only works well like 60% of the time, even though I have a S22 ultra and Fold 3, so this will be nice change. At this price I am in for 1.

For some reason the pure android version of xfinity stream won't work on this, but the fire version does. You might have to mix and match some sideloaded apps.
That's the great thing about AndroidTV vs other OS, you can sideload apps very easily and without the need for root privileges.
Going to try one in my truck camper. Should be much easier than lugging around a satellite dish/receiver, especially for the limited amount of TV watched on most camping trips. Tried a Roku stick but it kept freezing up (don't think it liked my mobile hotspot, works fine at home). Hopefully this will be better. If not, no great loss.

This box works pretty well. Just make sure you let it do its update when first turned on if it's not already current (most likely not). The update should fix a lot of the lag issues. Good to know that there's support for lineage OS.

You'll want to get an OTG cable and a 256GB USB 3 Flash drive too.

There is an unofficial lineagesos rom with an active developer.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/...s.4313743/
The lineageos rom is android tv 12 with some parts of google tv.
I haven't loaded it yet because the stock android tv 10 works fine for what i do.
But it's good to know that if onn stops updating, that I can move to a unofficial rom.
