This Battery pack is the same thing. It will not output electricity without Solar Panels to charge it. It doesn't come with Solar Panel just like the Gas Generator doesn't come with Gas. But you can also charge this by using the outlet... just like other Gas generator can also use propane.

After watching this on youtube along with several other videos showing lithium nmc batteries exploding, I refuse to buy a solar station that uses them. Just not worth risking a home, car or rv fire. https://youtu.be/1qOM5ih0IHg

If you need a smaller solar station the bluetti eb3a is best in class and price with the 90 off coupon on amazon. I like eco flow products yet will not purchase one until they make the switch to lithium phosphate batteries and by choosing to vote with my money by purchasing the bluetti eb3a and the rockpals 600 now with the hope that will push other companies to make the switch sooner to the safer and longer cycles technology.

You will still need solar charge controller, a DC to USB to charge your USB devices. Add another for AC charge controller if you want to charge it using the grid. Then you'll end up paying $200. Not to mention, Deep cycle batteries are heavy and can only be used 50% of their capacity to preserve longevity otherwise, you'll end up sulfating it.

A gas GENERATOR has everything it needs to generate electricity from a fuel source. This BATTERY does not have everything it needs to generate electricity from a fuel source. It requires solar panels to do so. In your analogy, this would be a gas generator without an engine which would no longer be called a generator but instead a MOTOR. Gas or propane is the fuel source for a gas GENERATOR, sunlight would be the fuel source for a solar GENERATOR. Again, seeing as this does not have the capability to generate electricity if you feed it sunlight, it can not be called a GENERATOR, just like if you poured gasoline on a MOTOR.

I understand completely. Really seems to be the same when discussing calling EVSE (Electric vehicle supply equipment) chargers when talking about electric cars. The charger is in the car, but common naming vs. naming items based on what they really are/do is nothing new. Names should help people understand item usage, true or not to what it is/does.

I wonder how many buyung these power stations are using them every day to get their moneys worth? Are you using one every day? I bought one to use for road trips to power our 12v fridge and to charge personal devices , for car camping, and rolling blackouts here in California. What comparable LiFePO4 power station on the market can one get for the same price? I'd like to get one of those too.
