Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

Placed order with iPhone 7 128gb trade in. Even though only iPhone 7 256gb is listed as an option for $300 trade in value, I gave it a shot with smaller size.

Fingers crossed to see how and what google offers.

Anyone else with same trade in?
I don't think you'll be getting anything back.

I have a Pixel 3a XL. From reading the reviews, not entirely sure it's any better.

Don't want to lose my battery life. Not to mention, the Pixel 6 had a number of phone. issues.

need to trade iphone 7 32gb, but only option is 256gb, I don't think 256 gb exists in iphone 7
taping a 224gb SD card on the back of your Iphone 7 should solve your problem.

worth trading in an iPhone XS 64gb for $280 or selling locally to recoup the cost? Or hold onto the iPhone XS for future trade ins?

That wireless charging has become a premium feature is one of the stupidest developments in the Android world. Even Apple, which nickel and dimes you for everything, doesn't withhold it from their budget phones.

IP ratings have also become a racket. It's highly likely that these phones are just as waterproof as any IP68 phones but are only tested to IP67 just to differentiate it from the flagships.

I did this and traded in a Pixel 3a XL for $300 in credit, (I bought it used for $150.84.)

So $180 for a Pixel 6a which is faster, better camera, more ram, less bezels, bigger battery, more memory,e-SIM, FM Radio?,60FPS video at 4k, HDR, 5G, WI-FI 6, and Pixel buds for $180. (No earphone plug ,no charger, slightly heavier)

Heck even if I hate the phone I could probably resell it for more than $180.

$300 for 3A, wow, I think that's what I paid for it originally 3 years ago. basically got to use it free for 3 years.

I already have a pair of the pixel buds and they're terrible. Nearly useless. But I'm not going to turn down getting another pair for free. Would have liked a $99 discount on the pixel buds pro.

I am slightly concerned that the $300 trade-in offer is a bug and they won't honor it, because I just don't see how it can be true.

once the trade in kit comes and you package your trade ins, make sure you take lots of photos and videos cuz HYLA will piss a lot of customers off. lots of times they will randomly give you a trade in value from out of the blue. with their

I hope those that did, or plan on doing, the trade-in that you select to have them "return the phone" if they don't honor the estimate.

I hear some saying they received more than the estimate, and some saying they received less, but have only seen one person saying they were basically given nothing.

So, if they offer much less, or even nothing, they get to keep your phone, and you have no recourse to get it back- unless you selected the "return phone" option

Also, take photos of the condition, maybe a video or two of it shutting down and powering up, and of it being reset.

This deal is bonkers. Bought a janky 3a on eBay, basically paying $220 for this phone. Nice upgrade to my daughter's OnePlus 6t while I wait for the 7 pro
