Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

Not sure I'd chance a cracked phone for $30 on ebay, especially when they need to verify the factory reset. Haven't seen any functioning $30 3As for that price.

Well I just bought one. It specifically listed it as being clean imei and not Google locked. Otherwise, you're right. Regardless, I wouldn trade any phone in with decent resale value.

Total Wireless has refurb SE 2nd Gen for $99 plus plan purchase would make a decent trade in at $285 if you need a phone. Found used 3A for $75 locally it's in good shape so should have no issues with trade in.

Be sure to buy through the links in the post and not Google FI if you want the large trade in value.

Curious why you say that? I'm getting the buds, but I already have cheap BT earbuds that work very well and the battery lasts forever so I'm not sure what I'd be gaining by switching to the Pixel buds. I think it would be better to sell them new and unopened, though the market will probably be flooded after this.
The Pixel Buds A-Series have a 4.4 out of 5 stars (721 reviews) on Best Buy, 4.5 out of 5 (212 reviews) on Amazon. These earbuds look pretty good to me based on the customer reviews and the critics. I don't think these are as good in sound quality as my Samsung Buds+ or my JBL Live 300TWS that had bought twice on sale for $33 and $38 but I still think I will like the Pixel Buds A-Series. I think the biggest con to me is its bass accuracy and noise isolation. I will keep them. I don't think it is worth selling on ebay especially if it is soon flooded.

Woah, how?! My 3aXL quote is only $55. Would be a no brainer at that value.
My Pixel 2 XL was quoted $60. WTF are these all over the place? Google's trade-in policies are horrible.
If it wasn't for the great pictures the Pixels generate and my shitty S10e work gave me, I'd probably be reconsidering it. But no matter how bad the fingerprint reader is on the 6a, at worst, it'll be the same as the S10e (the most frustrating experience with a fingerprint reader I've ever had).

Thinking of trading in my Pixel 4xl for this, but not sure it's worth it. Specs look similar and just had the battery replaced in the 4xl and would lose wireless charging. Would I get better battery life and better pictures from the 6a?

I wish they offer a 1TB plan like Amazon, Microsoft, and everyone else.
When I signed up, it was a 1TB plan. After a couple years they upgraded it to a 2TB plan and kept the pricing the same. I was happy to have double the data for the same price!

need to trade iphone 7 32gb, but only option is 256gb, I don't think 256 gb exists in iphone 7
It does, I had one locked to xfinity so will try doing this deal. I guess they only want 256GB because it was the highest price/demand maybe.

I originally didn't want to even consider the 6a since it did not seem worth it for $150 less than the 6 (which has a better camera system).
I have the 3a and considered buying the 5 for $450 from Woot recently, but didn't want to spend the money I guess.

Trading the 3a in (that I paid $240 new from Google in Feb 2020) for $300 and getting a set of earbuds sold me. Essentially paying $150 for a phone with set of earbuds (that I don't need, but will give my wife). Hope it doesn't have the typical launch phone issues.

I mean don't the pixel 4 updates end this year in October?

At minimum u get a fresh battery and 5 years of updates. Tensor processor will be critical for Google Pixel updates going forward so older devices that don't have it won't get all the software potential.
