Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

I checked the Moto One 5g from Cricket, the trade-in value is $265.
Is it the moto one 5g Ace?

Very excited about this but a couple questions about the trade in. Should i remove the screen protector? And should it be turned on or off when I send it back?

Screen protector doesnt matter. Definitely charge and turn it off. People have said that they didnt get credit because phones didn't turn on due to dead batteries.

I would remove the screen protector too. I read that there is no issue having it on when browsing Reddit but I'm of the mindset to give them as few reasons as possible to readjust the trade-in value.

I ordered yesterday with a pixel 4a trade-in. I did a trade-in with Google thrice before and never had any issue. I would charge my device and turn it off before mailing. Can anyone suggest a cheap case for 6a?

Had to bite after seeing 10% credit back.

Hope the trade in works well. I never had issue with Samsung (Over 20 trade in) but doesn't like seeing horror stories like above

I had few experiences with HYLA for trade-ins. It went very smooth but just to be sure, take a video of your phone turning on so that you can argue later if anything happens. Heard people getting full credit after being denied initially.

I have a 5a. Still on the fence if it's worth upgrading to the 6a. Is there that big a difference?

I would actually leave the screen protector on, gives it more protection when shipping. I will probably also ship mine in its case. Also, make sure you do a factory reset of the phone before returning.

Pretty sweet deal. I have Galaxy buds but deciding if I should trade my old iphone 7+ for $300 and get this deal for $150 to have for a backup/kids media device.
