Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

I just got my phone half an hour ago. The phone and the plugs are the only thing in the box. No "return box" or instructions/address to return the old phone.

I received an email from Google Store yesterday that my trade-in kit had shipped separately.

Trading in my 3a XL for this 6a.

What really sweetened the deal for me was the Pixel Buds A-series, I really wanted a pair for multi-tasking but didn't want to pay msrp. Here's a long-term review for anyone interested, seems good enough for a set of free buds:

And my Pixel 3a xl - dropped from $300 to $68 - but for $86 I would buy 4a 5Gs all day long LOL

How much will the pixel 6a sell for on eBay/Mercari/offer up?Looks like I'll have an extra phone..
Not much. You'll have a lot of people dumping the phone + buds. I'm guessing 380-415 range once sellers get theirs.

I'm trading in my P3A, which I got as new via TMo but never opened until 1+ year after purchase. I don't know if I got a lemon but its battery would drain even while the device is off. It'll hold a charge and work just fine once it's charged back up. I've never really used it either except as a Wi-Fi device for the occasional TMo Tue. I'm pretty certain the battery will be dead by the time it's shipped into their hands. Hopefully, they'll at least try to charge it before declining the trade, thinking it won't power on. Did anyone else experience this too with your P3A?
Coincidentally, I also didn't set up my Pixel 3a - which I got as a backup phone, - until after a year of buying it. My Pixel 3a doesn't have this issue.

In regards to the trade-in, if you charge the phone to full, turn it off, leave it alone for several days, and then turn it on, at approximately what percentage does the battery show? How many minutes will it last before its battery dies?

Good luck,
Tofu Vic

Any cheap case that is functional?
Usually, during launch/release day they should have a lot of sales or promo codes/discounts.

Let's say my cost is $200 without the sale of the included buds. I have an extra phone and ear buds that I have no use for really.

Wondering if it'd even be worth selling on Mercari or OfferUp after fees taxes.

I got the Poetic Revolution from Amazon. Going to review sites it was highly recommended. I read a lot of reviews and it seems like it can protect from drops unlike a ton of other cases. They also make the Guardian case which has roughly the same protection and has a nicer aesthetic (but no kickstand). The case also has a built-in screen protector and it comes with another front piece without a screen protector if you want to use your own.
