Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

Has anyone tried returning the ear buds? There's a option to return it for $80 and just keep the phone.

Are people starting to get their trade in box shipped? I still haven't received any email from Google yet, so I'm a bit concerned. Does it usually take this long? I know the trade in is confirmed since I received that email after purchasing the phone + buds.

I also want to hurry up and send my device so I can get the refund. Not really a fan of Google charging me outright and then refunding later. Samsung charges the discount price from the start.

Couple pages before someone said it comes out as $0. I doubt it works.

Where do you see that? When I try to return the earbuds, I see that the value is $0.00. (screenshot)

I'm trading in my P3A, which I got as new via TMo but never opened until 1+ year after purchase. I don't know if I got a lemon but its battery would drain even while the device is off. It'll hold a charge and work just fine once it's charged back up. I've never really used it either except as a Wi-Fi device for the occasional TMo Tue. I'm pretty certain the battery will be dead by the time it's shipped into their hands. Hopefully, they'll at least try to charge it before declining the trade, thinking it won't power on.🤣 Did anyone else experience this too with your P3A?
Most batteries do not like to be critically discharged and kept that way for a long time. I have 2 Pixel 3 XL phones. 1 was discharged for 3 months. 1 was not. The critical discharged phone required more charging all the time and the battery bulged and needed to be replaced this week.

I am glad I got (2) Pixel 6A.

I haven't received the phone yet, but I so see the option to return it. It's not letting me move past the return option since it hasn't been received

Ah, you ordered from Amazon, whereas I ordered from Google Store.

There's an Amazon trick for bundled items that has worked for many years (I posted about it in 2017). If you order a bundle and either cancel or return one of the items, you may receive a refund of that item's value (this value may not be the MSRP, but what Amazon has listed as the value on their end).

If the phone and earbuds have different delivery dates and will be delivered separately, you may be able to go into your Amazon Orders page now and cancel the earbuds to get a refund of the earbuds' value. If they will be delivered together, you may be able to return the earbuds and get a refund.

Let me know how it goes!

I think that's all covered in the Wiki, page 1.

Oh wow... definitely a fingerprint security issue. I can unlock my phone with my right pointer finger when I only put in my thumb print. It's not as easy to do it as the thumb print, but I did it at least 2 times.

Try it yourself... using your pointer finger and slowly slide your finger down while it's reading your print (maybe this reduces accuracy?). Try it a few times. Does it unlock for you?

Just tried and mine will only open with either of my 2 registered fingers. Maybe some are updated - takes 1/2 second but working fine...
