Received my SIM today. White SIM in a black boost mobile card.

Activating the SIM and transferring my number from Tello took around 8 minutes to complete.

I added the APN information to my Galaxy S22 ultra from this [boostmobile.com] link. The link in the first post did not exist for me.

As soon as the phone booted up again it enabled wifi calling and asked for me to confirm some 911 and address information. This never worked with Tello properly for me, with wifi calling being broken 90% of the time.

Everything on the phone indicates it is AT&T network in my area, and YouMail works for visual voice mail. With the caveat that when setting YouMail up it asks my provider, and if I say Boost mobile as the provider it fails to work and says boost does not support conditional forwarding. I had the same problem with 3 other visual voicemail apps. If I select AT&T though as my provider it sets up the voice mail with zero issue. Same with the Voicemail app Voxist. It works if I select AT&T as the provider.

If I go to "Network Operators" in my connection settings on my phone and turn off "Select automatically", and manually pick an operator, the one that the phone successfully registers to is AT&T.

In my home I have 5G service with 2-3 bars and everything is working good. So looks like the switch from Tello to Boost fixed all my issues I was having with service in my area so far.

Figured I would post this since all I am mainly seeing is negative comments, but for me so far this has been a positive experience. The only real negatives being there is no mobile hotspot nor any way to add it as an extra to this plan, that they do not provide tracking numbers when shipping the SIM, and that there is no "Official" visual voicemail app available to download.

For speeds I am getting 8-10Mbps inside my house and 30Mbps outside my house through 5G.

Edit: Update on a problem I found. All incoming calls from Google Fi callers, as well as testing with my own google voice number instantly disconnect, or play a busy signal. Only incoming calls are affected as far as I can tell. I can call out to the same numbers with no problem, and can receive text and MMS messages from the numbers that cant call me properly.
I can get calls from other providers also without issue. No idea if this is something that will sort itself out automatically, or is an actual problem. It affects standard calling as well as when using wi-fi calling.

Edit: I called support, and she said I should wait 24 hours after I port my number for everything to be fully complete. So I will wait till tomorrow, and see if I am still having incoming call issues from Google Fi and Google Voice.

Officially it is not supposed to, and there is no mention of hotspot data listed anywhere at all in the plan, but when you asked this I just tested on a Galaxy S22 Ultra and hotspot is working without any sort of indication that it is not supported or enabled. I have no idea if that would remain the case if I used a decent chunk of data though. I did not use a special app or anything. I just went to the wifi settings, switched the Mobile Hotspot button to "on", and connected with my laptop and internet worked fine. Speed tests are giving my laptop the same speeds as the phone was giving me earlier.

This service sucks so bad. I tried their 3 month prepaid plan from best buy. I wasn't receiving calls or text messages. I ended up switching back to Mint Mobile after 3 weeks. I lost over 2 months of service, but I had no choice. Their support team could not figure it out. I haven't had any issues since switching back to Mint Mobile.

That's their T-Mobile service. This plan is on AT&T.

Those are some of the exact issues I was having with Tello, which is T-Mobile, and why I switched to this AT&T Boost to try out.

That service was using Dish according to the support rep. Once I switched back to Mint Mobile, which uses T-Mobile, I have no issues at all.

That was incorrect information.

Dish owns Boost, but Boost uses T-Mobile and now also uses AT&T - depending on the plan.

Because you bought in a retail store, you were using T-Mobile. Not to say your experience is invalid - just that it's not representative of this plan in particular.

That bad experience was enough for me. I went to Mint Mobile and never looked back. Been with them for 5 years and counting.

Sure - I'm not trying to convince you any way. I'm simply attempting to bring clarity.

Going by the language in the original post, it should be Tmobile's network. However several people pointed out that it's actually AT&T. Yet you are on Tmobile. Anyone else get in on this deal and are using Tmobile's network? Kind of important for some.

Boost Mobile sells SIM cards through retailers that use the T-Mobile network, if you buy from my.boostmobile.com you are getting the ATT network.

This page shows the APN information: https://my.boostmobile.com/suppor...n-settings
New accounts directly from them are getting the att.net APN whereas retailer purchased sim cards are using the wholesale apn reserved for TMO MVNOs.
