9. What are the activation requirements for compatible GSM phones?
For iPhone:
You will need to do 2 things to make sure you can receive data on your iPhone
- Update your IOS to 15.2 (most recent IOS update)
- Update your carrier settings to 49.1
If you can not update your IOS settings, you will not be able to access your data once
you activate your SIM card and your phone.

10. How does express activation work?
Express activation allows you to use your SIM account and service as soon as it arrives. Just

What I've worked out is that if you try to purchase for a family member with the same device (address?) that you used to buy for yourself, you get flagged and your address gets blacklisted.
They haven't been able to figure it out.

Update: tried with a different phone and a different email address. So I'm guessing they blocked the email address along with the device since I tried with the same email on a pc and that didn't work either.
So try with a new email address that you haven't tried on the blacklisted device/on a new device you haven't tried on yet.

My brother, who has never had Boost service in his life, but whom I did try to get this deal for, wasn't even able to activate a SIM kit he purchased from Boost's Amazon store - I'm guessing because I tried to have a SIM from this deal shipped to him and failed due to that error.
He literally got the same exact message at the final step of *activation*. My sister had to activate the kit using her name and address. It's wild.
