Generally better. But it's not always the same. Knippex tends to do better in project farm tests than either of those brands although Irwin is a good value for the much lower price.

I almost bit, but just looked and still have two pairs of yellow handled old stock 8" Klein still in their package.

Probably would stick with those. I have been comparing both and a lot of electricians say they prefer the kliens. Having said that, I myself will bite on this one since I don't have either.
