Target has a free $50 gift card offer when you buy the Google Pixel 6A smartphone (starting Thursday, July 28) unlocked for $449. It's not the same as getting free Pixel Buds, but it's not bad.

I wonder if the $300 trade in for the 3a and the 4a is Google trying to get those folks off of the free unlimited storage for High Quality in Photos . . . that's one reason many of those folks are still on those phones . . .
Makes sense. The $300 trade-in applies to every Pixel phone from 2019 or later, which starts with the 3a. Pixel 3/3XL came out in 2018.
Yeah, Pixel 6a not as great as it could have been but the $300 trade-in makes up for it... I would never pay full retail or close to full retail for it... especially without a good fingerprint reader and without wireless charging.

I only got it because google offered me great trade in for my 4a 5G. Otherwise it is another meh phone.
Exactly.

Maybe he just meant it as information for someone who's interested. Doesn't affect my decision but maybe someone else cares about that mostly marketing BS, I would rather have strong and stable LTE than rely on 5G spots but to each its own.
On related note the Google store deal seems like a much better option due to good trade in values for some of the phones on top of the buds unless buying without phone to trade in.
100% agree, but I wanted to elaborate on this a bit more since some people will still buy into the marketing...
Google store version = sub 5G
Verizon version & Att = 5G we all know, however is $50 more
Interesting. I'm upgrading from a 4a 5g to the 6a so it'll be a downgrade in connectivity. Bummer.
is it really a downgrade? I'm coming from an unlocked 4a 5g as well, on the vzw network. would going to the 6a be a step down in terms of connectivity, or did I also already lose the mmWave 5g by going w the unlocked version on the 4a5g?

9to5Google's review said the 6a is like a 6 on battery saver mode [youtu.be]. Skip to 6:35. Interesting.
I thought you traded in to Target. Misread your comment
