I'm a Club fitter in Nor Cal who gets to use Trackman daily and this little guy is legit! You have to pay either a yearly $99 or monthly $10 fee for certain features like the course simulator. If you only plan on using at the range then you don't need to. I hadn't played in a year due to an assortment of injuries and my boss " asked " me to play so I played the course the day prior on this thing on the range and it was awesome! ( besides the chipping which is garbage). They even have live tournaments where you play against other players on courses like whatever the pga might be playing that week. I'm not sure about LIV but bleh who knows. These were selling used on eBay for way over asking a couple months ago so I say if you're interested then buy it for sure. It's accuracy is astonishingly close to Trackman but $25K less money. Sorry this was long hope it helps

Got this a few months ago and love it. Sure it may not be as accurate as a $10K+ launch monitor, but for an amateur who doesn't need it to be, this was a game changer. Use it every night and my swing has vastly improved because of the convenient repetition this has allowed me to put in.

This is a good deal. I can't decide if I want one of these or if I want to save for a skytrak, but this is a great deal

I wanted the skytrak cause I have limited space in the garage, but ended up with this Garmin for the price and it works just as fine.

It's been a while since this has been launch and I haven't been keeping up with it. Has this been updated to fix some of the accuracy/consistency issues? I know when it was launched, a lot of YT reviewers were saying that it wasn't as accurate or consistent when you compare the R10 to other LM in the same category (i.e Rapsodo, Mevo, Skytrak). For example, the R10 would say it was a hook, when it was really a slice. Deal-breaker IMO. Ultimately, there were LM out there that performed better and they were even cheaper. I would be interested in this if Garmin made some software updates however.

Literally just watching a launch monitor review video and this came up. Have the MLM now; maybe I'll get this if I can sell the MLM. Though I do believe MLM is more accurate but I'm sick of their subscription model. Is this really a sale or did they just drop MSRP? Best Buy doesn't show.

I just made a goal to be single digit by year end and scratch in 3 years. Does that justify the purchase? 😁

I would have gone with a Garmin R10, but I wanted to also do putting in my golf simulator. So I went with a used Skytrak I scored for $1,350 shipped including the metal case. I'm very happy with the setup.

For those that have this device and use it outdoors at a driving range, do range balls have an impact on the results vs say a ProV1? The range I would be using it at has typical range balls in poor condition.

Expect 15-20% less carry distance on range balls. Not sure about impact on spin though.

The app for skytrak is garbage. On iPad and PC, unfortunately. I returned it after a week.

Anyone know how this compares to the $430 ESB1 at Costco?

I was looking at the skytrak, but I am going with the Bushnell Launch Pro. It is more than the skytrak, but I would for sure check it out before you make a decision.

I think this is a great deal for someone who was not even looking for a simulator. $500 is a drop in a bucket when it comes to golf simulator equipment. Next step up is what you did, which is a used skytrak (new is way overpriced at this point - old tech). Next step up, and a huge one is BLP.
