how much would it cost to build your own
I added some of the parts from Microcenter website to the shopping cart it went over $2K. I had only added CPU, Graphics card, power supply, motherboard, memory. Did not add cpu water cooling and case. It was just a quick comparison. My thought is that it will be more than $2K

About the same. Just ran through pcpartpicker, picking pretty much the cheapest options offered, and without operating system comes out to around $1900.

Better off with the HP Omen for $1260 plus tax with Intel i7 11700k, 3080ti, Hyper X 32gb ram, WD Black 512gb nvme/2tb HD, Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 along with free Omen mouse, Omen Blast headphones and Omen mouse pad.

This was a very popular deal and it's not available at this time.

True, but it was 40% less than this deal. Maybe worth waiting. If one company can do it, so can others?

your thought is wrong. i put together a computer with much better parts for $130 less that included a much better SSD, cooler and a case that isn't a total piece of sh*t, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/33hNxs

also, if you don't care about ray tracing, you can save money and get a faster PC by going with an amd RX 6900xt instead. i've seen those go as low as $750.

this dell case has next to zero airflow and the 120mm aio cooler in it is worthless. it's worse than most $50 air coolers. i know that because i had to repair two of these already. also, dell's (and hp's for that matter) bone stock GPUs leave a lot to be desired.

no one should buy this heap of e-waste.

I looked at that thread just now for that HP deal and several people reporting their orders were cancelled so not sure how many people even got it. That HP Omen also has tons of over heating issues but it was still a pretty good deal for the price IF it even shipped out to some people.

Here is that HP Omen deal thread if anyone was curious: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/738022

O yea. That deal died fast. That was a great price. Or is it active?

Gamers Nexus has been...unkind to these on Youtube. I believe thermals aren't great and consequently there's some throttling.

In store only, looks like a solid deal - 3080 Ti and good processor... don't know a ton about parts other than that, so maybe some commenters can help

What about the os and wifi card? That would cost over $130 and you have no warranty. The omen was definitely a great deal at $1250. Seems like building these days isn't worth it. Better off getting an HP deal and case swapping and add some fans.
