To earn additional rewards on online retail purchases, the purchase must be made on a website or a digital application (an app) from a U.S. retail merchant that sells physical goods or merchandise directly to consumers. To identify eligible online retail purchases, we rely on information provided to us by the merchant. The following are not considered retail purchases: purchases made at restaurants, supermarkets, gasoline stations, or automotive dealers, as well as purchases of travel, entertainment, or other services. Payment must be made online and categorized as an internet transaction by the merchant for the purchase to be eligible. still not as good as my credit card which is 3% on everything, everywhere, unlimited. i spend 80% of my purchases online so this deal would be ok if i didn't have u.s. alliance

They don't credit the cashback until the next statement.
I am keeping Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards #1 for the 3% linked to Paypal and Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards #2 for the 3% for gas unless there are better offers elsewhere.

Must be really hurting because this is the first time I have seen a CC add a useful service in a number of years. Most have been removing benefits. In the past with Amex it has been their usual Amex offers only for mostly nonsensical wine or various other never used merchants.

AMEX Blue for pretty much everything else
AMEX Platinum maybe for travel
Chase Sapphire Preferred for online food delivery
