  • Carries up to five bikes including Mountain Bikes, in a pickup truck
  • Made of soft flannelette to protect the tailgate from scratches, which is thick and will not damage the paint of the truck
  • A rugged nylon strap will allow you to secure the pad and allow to the transport of bikes securely

Little more? It's 4x the price. Was thinking this might be good enough for letting the kids lean skis up against the back of my truck while parked. Is it durable enough for that?

And then spend many times this amount to get your bike repaired/wheel replaced from laying one bike on top of another. I guess if you're just talking Walmart Huffy bikes, knock yourself out.

People vacation to bike at ski resorts, stay around the area for a few days. They may take a group to a local riding area. Maybe they live close to several biking people who can all get in the truck to drive to a trailhead. Maybe someone drives their family to the trailhead. Anyway, there's a limited number of scenarios where someone needs this vs. a normal bike rack for 1-2 bikes.

$70k is a deal compared to what the thieves at the stealership are charging. Don't forget the $40k "market adjustment" on top of the sticker. Damned price gougers

What kind of idiots are paying these prices?

As for the bike rack, I use a 4 bike hitch mounted carrier. Works fine. Sure you can throw bikes in the bed but then you can't use the bed for anything else like luggage if you're on vacation
