To be honest, unless you are planning to go with the full ego system, very rarely does a tool only make sense because there are never deals on batteries and chargers.

Doesn't really make sense to do that IMO.

$135 for the blower
$139 for a batter

EGO Power+ LB6504 650 CFM Variable-Speed 56-Volt Lithium-ion Cordless Leaf Blower 5.0Ah Battery and Charger Included https://a.co/d/7lx5XVe for batter, tool and charger.

been in the market for a leaf blower for a long time, this one looks like a winner

What are good options to get battery and charger? went ahead and ordered the blower but won't really do any good without the battery or charger....

thanks!
Acme tool had the 580 with bat and charger for $230. Mine arrived yesterday, great unit.

I have been looking for a while and it never seems to be part of any deal.

I was considering selling the 580 from the acme deal and getting this 650. Then I read on obsessedgarage that having tested all the models from 530 to 765, 580 is their favorite because of the noise. That is one of the things that stood out to me at first was the noise on the 580 was even less and lower pitch than my much weaker 40v ryobi which was the one thing I was worried about. I also have sensitive hearing like the person below, but don't always want to reach for protection for 30 seconds of use...

"The EGO 580 is easily my favorite battery-powered leaf blower. I tried the others (615, 650, 765) and found this one to be the best for me.
I say it's the best for me because it doesn't have the shrill sound that some of the other models have, especially the 650. You could avert that by wearing ear protection, but I find this 580 works well for my hearing tolerance."

"my EGO 650 CFM blower assessment remains the same. It's super-powerful, but it's so harsh when it comes to sound. It's very shrill. You can certainly overcome this with ear protection, but I have sensitive hearing"

(765) "At first, I didn't think I would like it because I thought it would have a shrill sound like the 650, but after using it while washing my GT4, I noticed it wasn't bad at all. My conclusion is that you can't go wrong with either the 580 or this 765."

They have a couple cool attachments like stubby nozzle geared for car drying, but useful for other reasons too. Expensive though.

Buy a combo kit that comes with battery and charger for another tool. The new power head with auto feed weed whacker is awesome. Highly suggest going all ego for lawn care. You'll fall in love

How does the Ego 765 cfm compare to Greenworks 730 cfm?

I need the trimmer…and I need to be able to put a brush trimmer head on it. Anyone know if ego trimmers are compatible with those products ?
You can get a brush trimmer attachment (ABB1203-1 ) that fits on the power+ string trimmer head (STA1500). It works very well with the 5 amp hour battery, but runs out quickly with the smaller battery. Cleared a bunch of small pine trees (~4 feet high) and sage brush with it.

I have Sheetrock in garage. I ran two 2x4 across into studs 3 ft.apart.
I screwed some basic bike hooks and a couple of the harbor freight hooks that are shaped like a U. Works for me.

I believe you always get the max CFM on turbo no matter the attachment (or none), it's the max air speed of 180 mph that you need the tapered nozzle to be able to reach.
Thanks

thanks for this suggestion. I'll probably end up returning the 650 since I don't have battery or charger and look into getting this 580 with the battery. Wife will like the quiet more too.

Unfortunately I already have batteries / tools in Ridgid and Ryobi but didn't really see good blowers with them as good options - the ryobi has blowers but they're 40V instead of all the other 18V batteries that I already have.

Looks like it's up to $239 now but I'm liking what I'm reading about it versus the 650, thanks for the suggestion
