This stuff is made in Thailand and they use a different recipe which tastes terrible compared to the original Japanese manufactured Pocky. The way to recognize the real Japanese manufactured Pocky is look for the word "Pocky" to be gold, not white. That's the easiest way to tell that it's the good Japanese made version which uses good quality dark chocolate and not the crappy Thailand stuff with inferior cheaper-than-Hersheys lowest quality artificial-tasting milk chocolate flavor. Japanese markets are the best place to find the Japanese made Pocky because Amazon sellers seem to only carry the cheaper Thailand-made version.

You will receive 100% broken sticks. These are not something you should order online, unless it's your only option.

Costco does offer a better deal, but still made in Thailand, so the chocolate quality is still subpar.

I do appreciate the multi flavor packs though.

If you try the higher quality pocky from Japan vs this, the difference is huge.

Just note that there's only like 5-7 sticks in each packet. Cookies N' Cream is also on sale, ordered those for some family members since I've never seen that flavor at my local Asian markets.

Don't waste your money. I received my order of these today. The sticks inside the individual packets were 90% broken and the chocolate had an odd bumpy, like goose pimples, appearance. I would not order these from Amazon again.

FYI, costco has these in store. Probably a better deal by weight.

if you could see how much actual product is in here, you'd be too embarrassed to upvote the deal. its gotta be nearly 90% packaging.

Thanks for this comment - A lot of real japanese made chocolate is REALLY good (Meiji seems to be generally high quality for instance), but recipes change when products get outsourced and that can SIGNIFICANTLY affect taste and quality. I think it must have to do with the laws in the production country stating that only certain things can be called 'chocolate' (if enough dairy content) or 'bread' (Subway had that debacle in France where there loaves didn't qualify, LOL), etc.
'Real' Pocky is pretty good, but I'll pass on these.

FYI
Chocolate ones melt.
Strawberry and Cookies and Cream do not.
