    • This new lightweight takes this proven design to the next level of lightweight performance. Lighter than it's G-10 handle cousin, this P3 incorporates injection-molded FRN (fibegrlass reinforced nylon) scales and a streamlined version of their patented Compression Lock mechanism. I think you misread. I think they were saying you're getting a good price on this.

This has a CTS-XHP blade with would be around 60-64 HRC, plus the DLC (Diamond Like Coating) and a FRN (Fiberglass Refinforced Nylon) handle, so I would imagine it's pretty tough

The steel on your Shaman M4 would probably be just a bit harder, but still very close.

I am waiting for a Para 2, would LOVE to see the Cruwear at this price but staying around $185. Thanks for the knife deal.

I have the Para 3 in S110V and I don't often reach for it when I'm in my knife drawer. It doesn't have the "toughness" feel when I have it in my mitts. My work EDC is a shaman with M4 blade. It's a beast.

But that's also a lot bigger and heavier. Different uses for each knife

This is fair for a special edition, it will sell out.

Yes sir. I have a lot of knives. Only reason I haven't bought this one yet is because I've already made four knife purchases in the past week, but still thinking about it. Smilie And you're right, this will probably sell out, and I'm guessng soon. Smilie

Yes, you are correct. My point is, this knife is not for larger hands. When I want to use a lightweight agile knife, I usually grab my bugout with S90v. I didn't buy the para 3, it was a gift from my wife. I think she likes it more than I do.

I am in the same boat. I carry my Manix day to day but if I am in a suit I grab something smaller/lighter like my Alcyone with BD1N.

This exclusive is made with CTS-XHP, which is an high-end air hardened steel manufacturered by Carpenter. This is the same stuff you see used for a lot of surgical tools and ice skates.

If you're a fan of aftermarket scales, be aware that the lightweight(LW) Spydercos don't use metal liners inside the scales, and use different scales and pocket clips than the non-LW versions. Not many places make aftermarket scales and clips for these. Many LW owners just end up RIT-dying the OEM scales.

Still a great knife for the price. If I didn't already have a bunch of spydies, including several LWs, I'd jump on it.
