I feel like they would sell way more at a lower price point but I guess if you dominate the market you can do what you want lol.

I have been through a variety of smart LED bulbs, standard, ambient, and full RGBW. From my experience I would say that the best of the budget brands is Govee. They have a pretty solid app that is continuing to get feature updates and their camera solution for color matching screens is pretty solid and allows you to mix products. I would not recommend getting the lights that only work from BT as ones with Wifi will let you easily control from Google or Amazon smart devices.

All that being said, I have been converting most of my rooms to Hue. Their color quality and simplicity is just awesome.

This is dirt cheap for this product. Keep in mind that this can also be used to complete the "missing bottom lights" of a Hue Play Gradient strip setup. I will use the base strip to replace Play light bars on the bottom of my 82" QLED that look terrible since I switched the rest of the TV to Hue Play Gradient strip.

This isn't the Play Gradient Lightstrip, right? Does it work with TVs?

Can you explain? Do I buy the hue play strip first and then attach this?

I have a bunch of the regular + strips. Are these that much better?
Gradient strips are much better than the old strips, for TV. If paired with the Hue Sync box, the light around the TV extend out through the light strips giving a better viewing experience

You wouldn't attach this. This would be an additional light with its own power supply.

The Play strip is designed to go around the top and the sides leaving the bottom with no lighting. Hue has several options to fill the bottom and this is one of them (the others are Play bars, solid lightstrips, and the ambient tube, and this product which is the ambient strip).

One thing to be careful of, which is not a problem because my TV is 6ft wide, is that I am not sure if the zones become uneven on this this strip when you cut it. I hope that makes sense.

Understood. Another stupid question. why couldn't I just use this as the main strip if I have a smaller TV? I currently have the 3 play bars and they're okay. Wondering if I could use this for a 65in TV.

What's wrong with the light bars on the bottom? That's the set up I have now, 4 playbars under my 75

Maybe, but this product only has 3 zones and the Play strip has 7 so it wouldn't look great.

Should I get this or the gradient play 75 for 77' oled?
You would want both, the 75 gradient play for the top and sides, and the 6ft gradient for the bottom.

Functionally, it seems the Ambience can do the same as the Play? Is the main difference the corner structure where the Play has the nice, round, corner? Secondary differences seem to do with zoning as well? Some Amazon reviews indicate the Ambience is compatible with the Syncbox, but does that mean it just syncs the main color or it actually does what the Play Strip does? If the corner design is the biggest difference I'm surprised there isn't a third party channel for this issue unless there is more to the Play strip (the gapping between cuts might play into this as well I theorize).

Play. Its goes full around the TV. I have the 77 C1 with these. Works great.
