They taste like a chocolate clif bar… You can't expect a clif bar to taste like a brownie.

Cliff bars are loaded with sugar even if it's protein bar. Not ideal for muscle gainers

The price might be decent but these are the most disgusting Cliff bars I've ever tasted. Nothing like a brownie

FWIW I usually like the chocolate flavors but these don't work for me either. Crunchy peanut butter is my go-to Clif Bar. Obviously this is a good deal that will work for those who like the flavor!

Consuming sugar will prevent muscle gain?

I might argue that if your goal is muscle mass gain, that these bars could be advantageous for you. Assuming you're living an active lifestyle, and regularly strength training. These calorie bombs would help you pack on lbs without much satiation.

However if you're trying to be lean or lose weight then these are a horrible option for you as 250 cals of your daily calorie expenditure would be gone in seconds. Unless you're hiking or having a 20,000 step day, I'd leave these candy bars alone.

The whole point of the bar is carbs and sugar. Great for endurance sports like running, cycling, etc., where you need easy to digest carbs for fuel. These are great. I wouldnt just snack on these though.

These are solid, taste good. A lot of sugar but one a day won't kill you if you exercise. The original Power Bars were the best tasting. They probably weren't the healthiest, but it's a shame they are no longer around for years now.

Dark chocolate peanut butter banana is even cheaper, $8.39 if you hit the # of required items for S&S

Thanks OP! These are candy bars, and a good price for a dozen. If this was for a dozen king size snicker bars, candy lovers would be all over it. Don't think of these as healthy. Just enjoy them like any other candy bar.

just a heads up, they've completely wrecked the crunchy peanut butter. I reached out to their customer service team after buying multiple boxes that had disgusting, inedible bars. I'm talking super sticky, bad/wrong texture, and flavor that I can only describe as being off. Apparently they've changed the recipe due to "supply chain issues" so I've stopped buying them for now. I would caution anyone else that buys them too. I've switched to the chocolate peanut butter builder bars for now, but hopefully they get it sorted soon.

Thank you for the warning! That is very frustrating. The ones I got from Target last week were definitely on the sticky side but at least they were OK flavor-wise.
