Skip the 6v as it's underpowered even for a toddler. I tried to do a 20v conversion on ours and it'll end up destroying the gears fairly quickly. It's much faster though.
All in all, get a higher powered one like a 12v. It'll be beefier all around.

Got one donated to me. Battery was shot. Replaced with 2x18650 (about 7.4v) and a small pmw speed controller on it and it was much faster. My kid prob can not handle the full speed yet. Bumping to 12v in the future but it would probably wear the gears or plastic wheels quickly(its a 1 wheel drive)
Definitely interested, but I'd love to have more input from other people's experiences with it before picking it up.
Bought it for my 1.5 year old a few years back. It's fine for a flat cement driveway. It's so low to the ground that it would drag on the padded carpet under the weight of a 1-year-old... and no chance of going through grass in a yard.
It was fine for us since we have a great driveway like that. It's stupid slow (like 1.5mph but our kids loved it for a short while.
That said, my 2.5 year old now is riding on a 12v powerwheels that we got for free and I upgraded to run off my 18v Makita drill batteries! It goes 6-8mph with him on it and he absolutely loves it. He's too small to put both feet down so he leans to the side to press the pedal and just flys around the yard!

We bought it when my son was 2 years and he loved it. It's definitely slow but good for kids to learn.. now he is 3.5 yrs old and he still rides it..
