If anyone is on the fence about this, I ordered this the last time this keyboard went on sale and can confirm it is a very nice keyboard for the price. It's a little bit on the loud side (e.g. the clacking on keystrokes), but they are very smooth. The SteelSeries software is decent and offers quite a lot of customization for lighting and effects. The ability to quickly switch between profiles is really nice (especially for someone who uses the same PC for work and gaming).

Totally agree about the key strokes. So smooth but just tactile enough on a key press that you'll notice if you fat thumbed an extra key.
Bought this begining of the year for full price. I was in a pinch and needed something that day, reviews seemed great. I was coming from a Corsair K70, I believe, with cherry red switches. IMOP this is much nicer to type on.
My only complaint is the wrist pad. It's very comfortable but it's a dam dust magnet.
The swtich on the apex pro is much better and in line with the K100.
Coming from a K70, the main issue I have is that the Esc button is really close to some other buttons, and there's no way to adjust it, of course not, so, I'll be buying this one to check it out.

Update: much nicer than my current K70 keyboard, glad I bought the Apex Pro.
