I didn't downvote, but according to consumer reports liquid dishwasher detergent is consistently the least effective type of detergents because they are unable to contain the same (and better) mix of ingredients that pacs contain.

Here's a quote from this source:
"The worst dishwasher detergents, mainly gels, are barely better than water for removing baked-on messes."

I still appreciate the post OP, just figured I'd mention it because it's not commonly known!

Does anything really work on baked on? Does baked on belong to dishwasher? I have used everything including the most expensive pods and haven't found any miracle detergent. So i'm going with the cheaper one.

Doesn't answer your question technically but there is a channel on YouTube called technology connections I watch regularly. He does a few very good / interesting vids on dishwashers and detergents.

In any case, this detergent is at less than $0.1 per load (or just $0.07/load at 1oz/load, vs. the typical pod at $0.2-$0.3 each), as cheap as any decent detergent ever get and the review is great. And as I mentioned, my personal experience is that when food is stuck and when the dishwasher is packed, there's no miracle detergent.
