I have this exact card. Working out well for 1080p gaming, (mostly 1+ year old games) paired with a Ryzen 5 5600. I'm using an old B350 motherboard, and I was initially worried that the PCIe 4.0 x8 connection would be hampered on my PCI 3.0 x16 board, but if I'm losing any FPS, I don't really notice it. A massive improvement over my old Ryzen 3 3200G.

I have an ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING

and had a NVIDIA 750 Ti until a couple months ago, cousin let me borrow an unused XFX RX 580 that's a huge upgrade.

Not looking to spend much, this a good buy for me too?!

Serious question, what is AMD nightmares? Because I am looking at getting an AMD card myself.

The (mis) conception that AMD drivers and cards are generally worse. Replacing a Nvidia 960 on w8.1 & don't wanna rock the boat. laugh out loud

Have owned over 10 AMD cards and about 15-20 Nvidia cards in the last 15 years. Will never say it's been perfect but I've had luck on both teams. There are specific games where I've noticed issues with AMD cards but my general experience has been very positive. Only serious issues came from Crossfire and SLi but multigpu is not really a thing anymore.

If you want to do PCVR I would stay away from AMD. Their drivers are a giant PITA in that regard.

Same, no real issue single card from either camp nowadays . Sli seems to work better crossfire when they work.

The only real issue is that Newegg is the seller. And for me personally, I can't buy a new card unless I replace my whole computer. I can wait longer.

There's a Sapphire 6600 that's this price without the rebate. (Only single DP & HDMI outputs though, but it is shorter, only 7.5")

I'm pretty happy with the MECH X2 except it does look a little cheap and the backplate is just a flimsy piece of plastic.
