Plus extra year warranty from Costco (four years total with Costco visa) and 90 day return policy.
What exactly is wrong with Windows 11 Home edition for the average consumer?
Because we aren't all iSheep who want to be locked into Apple's disposable products ecosystem.
Because we want to upgrade, repair, and modify our devices as we see fit without the threat of lawsuits.
Because we want to buy replacement parts for our devices without jumping through hoops.
Because we want to repair our devices when they have trouble instead of being told by apple's "geniuses" that they need to be replaced.

I used to love apple. I learned my lesson. Steve Jobs must be rolling in his grave.

some info [notebookcheck.net] basically at 15w, 1240p is likely better than 1260p since it's not used up to its potential.
Yes. Except for graphics? i5 still with gimped graphics compared to i7.

I suggest going costco route especially if you have their visa card. I have 10th gen gram great laptop except glossy screen and its almost 2 years old with multiple small issues already happening. Will be doing "troubleshooting" with Costco Concierge and hopefully have it returned for store credit or how ever costco handles this.

Last I checked, Win 11 (non-Pro) is the first OS that requires you to be signed in to a MS account to use your own computer. May not be a problem for the "average consumer", IDK.

For anyone wondering between the two processors, they are very, very similar despite the difference in i7 vs. i5

The Cinebench R23 numbers look wonky on that page. Based on CPU monkey's R23 numbers, the i7 is 8% faster for single-core and 23% faster for multi-core. IMO that warrants a 10% higher price tag for the i7 system.

There is also a trade-off for that. It encrypts your hard drive and uploads the encryption key to your online account. This way your data on the device is protected in case of theft or unauthorized use. I personally use Linux on my daily driver but we can't be hypocrites. We accept the fact that our phones require online accounts in order to install any application from an app store or to do cloud backups, etc. Is there really that much of a difference having your desktop do something similar? If you're doing something sensitive, get yourself a LiveUSB and boot into a clean environment every time, even on a laptop that has Windows 10 Home.

I tried to buy this product multiple times, but nothing worked. I already tried to use different payment option and different machines. Still failed to complete the order. Is this usual thing? Buydig customer service doesn't seem to work during the weekend.

I believe the benchmark numbers do not apply to this thin and light laptop since everything just thermal throttles. For a thin and light laptop, i5 is probably the preferred option since it is relative better on battery.

Anyone know how the thermals are on this model?

I do know anything is usually better than Dell's XPS line when it comes heat management..
