About Refurbished Condition:
"This item is Certified Refurbished. It has been professionally restored by a Western Digital approved vendor. Units are usually cosmetically indistinguishable from New products, however some may show signs of light use. Functionally, these units are equivalent to New. Certified Refurbished units will be shipped in a New Brown CR Box."
2-Year Allstate Comprehensive Warranty is included w/ purchase
Apple users who don't know how to format the drive so that it'd work for their computer. Then they return it to buy another hdd that is "Official mac compatible" for an extra $200 lol
Grab several, test this thoroughly with CrystalDiskInfo and badblocks, see if these are indeed new. WD is known for being really good about hiding the SMART data in terms of when the drive has defects.
Overall, even for non-critical storage you don't want things to fail! But you may luck out, and these are brand new!
Item #294894576051 is USB-C

Hello, which one of these 2TB drives are shuckable? I got one with a drive inside, but it looks like it is soldered to the USB3 board, so cant use as an internal SATA drive.

Which one did you get? And what kinda drive was inside? Thank you

None are shuckable. The USB port has been soldered since 2010 on these.
Your best bet is to find an ancient 2TB Seagate, STDR200010X model where X is different numbers. The early batches had Samsung spinner inside, the best 2TB 2.5" hard drive ever made!
The later batches of the same model had SMR Seagate HDDs, nothing interesting. Well, at least they had SATA connectors, with a USB board.
