Stupid brain. Been salivating over this laptop for a while. My dumbass brain keeps wanting me to get the newest model ones for the better screen, better track pad, webcam, and newer specs, even though I probably won't even be gaming on the thing. So annoying to have decision paralysis.

How is his argument moot? The laptop was built to be sold for $1,1149.99. If you're saying that's what you get for $500 then it's not really a deal is it?

Idk why people are complaining about an ultra-portable laptop with a low-power GPU having a 60 hz screen like it kills the deal. The steam deck also has a 60 hz screen, and it's great. Not to mention you're not gonna get 144fps in your games on this GPU, and even if you could, it would kill the battery. So at that point, just plug it into an outlet and an external monitor.

It was the 60hz panel that killed me when I bought it locally earlier. There's no way it could run most games at 120hz, which is a real shame.

They are pretty different laptops. The thinkbook 13s is a perfectly fine laptop for an average user who would once in a while do demanding stuff(non-gaming). It is a powerful "ultra book"

I prefer the G14 though by quite a margin. It cost me more than twice the thinkbook(close to $2000 with tax) with the 40GB ram and 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD upgrades.
The G14 is a powerhouse yet very portable. That is its killer feature. Sure you can get a larger laptop that is even more powerful but portability and looks will suffer. It can run hot but you can also run it very cool by selecting the silent armory crate setting.
The new hi res 120Hz, 500nit screen on the G14 is superb. Of course, it has other upgrades too like vapor chamber cooling, USB 4.0 support (via firmware), PCIE 4 SSD speeds, DDR5, webcam(which is just ok, not great), nice large glass touchpad. I also find the white color and the fit and finish of the new G14 excellent. Finally the G14 has a dedicated graphics card that lets you play demanding games.
