ps. My best friend last year was a DD driver and nothing sucks more than trying your best and getting nothing for the effort. Whether climbing 3+ flights of stairs, keeping your stuff warm in a nice insulated bag (not the flimsy garbage DD provides) all the while paying $4-5 a gallon for gas.

Exactly. Don't understand why people force other people to do things or give lectures. There's a labor shortage right now. If your friend isn't happy with DD, then don't work for them. I'm sure he can find another job. I get that there's flexibility but nobody is forcing him to work for that pay.
Not a genius, all the deals were through Slickdeals. Did the same thing with Uber eats when Costco had their 20% off deal. Spent half as I did on the DD gift cards. Next deal I am going for 5k of gift cards. I avg 200 a week for a 2 person household https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/frown.gif
However, the Chase credits do not require paying with the chase card. for the specific purchase. It just has to be linked to the account to get the credits. You are most definitely incorrect on the Chase Reserve credit assertion you made.
"Earn $5 monthly DoorDash Credits through 12/31/2024: Get $5 in DoorDash credits each calendar month while enrolled in DashPass through 12/31/2024. When applied to an order, the $5 credit will apply only to the subtotal of your order at checkout. The credit does not apply to fees, taxes, or tip and gift card purchases are excluded. You or an authorized user must be enrolled in DashPass and use your Chase Sapphire Reserve card for payment at checkout to receive the credit. "
I'm not sure why you seem to be so confident in your incorrect statement unless you've used doordash credits before and still were able to use the $5/month credit on your own doordash account, which indicates a glitch/loophole according to the fine print above.

But you can product-change a CSP into a CSR if you wait for the CSP to be at least 365 days old.

Even if you can't use it on the same purchase that doesn't invalidate the credit, and you can stack up to 3 months worth ($15). I have used doordash credits but I rarely use doordash (just for credits and promos... last one was $15 off $25 Dashmart used with pickup for $37 order that = $4 after credits and $15 off $25). I'll try next month when I have more CSR credit if it works without ending up with CC balance.
You still end up putting the credit card when using doordash credits IIRC, since credits will by default be used first and you might add tip/adjustments later.
Do you tip servers in a restaurant? What about Uber/Lyft/other rideshare drivers?
Pretty sure the OP you responded to, like everyone else here, could care less about your guilt or anyone elses.
Will assume you do not have a Dashpass and are paying lots of fees. And that you've never worked in the service industry for $2.35/hr. base pay...

In my experience I could select the Chase card and the app would apply the credit automatically but still keep the benefits. Also last year I was able to combine the monthly 2x $5 off with Master Cards while paying with Doordash GC. I do not know if DD changed the rules recently...
I just checked. When you have a gift card you can't even elect to use a credit card when you have a gift balance. Which is really annoying for two reasons. I can't use my Chase card free delivery and 2 if I'm traveling for work I can't use my company card even if I wanted to. There needs to be a choose payment type. For these reasons I will never buy a discounted gift card again!!

Don't use the service if you're not going to tip the driver or ANY delivery drivers for that matter. If you live in the US, you tip. It's as simple as that. Other countries have far more benefits for drivers and service industry workers, but in the US, they have little to no protection and benefits. "Get another job then..." sometimes it's not as simple as that for everyone. Your privileged mentality is pathetic.
Honestly shouldn't say things like "sit down" and then expect to be taken seriously.
