I've had this monitor for about 6 months now. Love it. KVM is really nice to have, and I haven't seen this monitor go on sale for a looooong time. $500 msrp is pretty reasonable though imho.

That said, I also had the HP X34 version of this monitor, and if you don't need the KVM switch, then you should be able to get a better deal on the X34, because it seems to be discounted very frequently. 165hz refresh rate too using DP.

One of the reviews says 18w PD on the USB C. HP has the X34 on sale for $347 again via EPP. It doesn't have USB C but otherwise similar and may be worth considering if you're in the market.

I agree. I owned both the x34 and the m34wq. I kept the m34wq because it had more adjustments, inputs, kvm, speakers, and better osd. Hp is cheaper and has higher refresh. Both have solid picture quality. I paid $500 from Newegg (bleh) unfortunately it was out of stock at alot of places and Newegg was the only option. I still had to wait for two months for back order. They gave me a free tb3 cable for my troubles.

Bought the M34WQ a few days ago when I noticed the price. I was looking at the X34 as well but it seems this is the better monitor. The only thing I don't like about it so far, is the joystick location. My LG 27GL850, has it at the bottom. It's easier to use when I turn off/on the monitor, when I leave for several hours that day.

The Gigabyte threw me for a loop as it comes with three power cables and the NEMA was last.

Depends on the game. I have a 34 inch 160Hz LG 34WP65-C that I can max out on ultra graphics with my 2070. Some games are better than others. I had Metro Exodus running at 70-80fps DLSS enabled on basically ultra settings although at full ultra settings it would probably dip to 40-50fps. Battlefield V can be maxed out on ultra settings with DLSS enabled. Have no doubt a 3080 could easily max it out on most games. I would just look at some YouTube benchmarks for the 3080 on 34 inch ultrawides to get a better idea of your specific application

No, this is UWQHD, pretty much same PPI as a 27" 1440p 16:9 monitor.

Curious how you got that price on the EPP program.
