I just got a Predator 144hz monitor for my 1080 and it's killing it at 4K. Rocket League, Tomb Raider, Subnautica… all hit 144 fps at 4K with high settings. The fans are definitely spinning more and I hit 72'C on the die, but it's great.
I'm thirsty to upgrade, but I don't see how the 3000 and 4000 cards can be better than what I have besides heat control.
Computer parts, houses, cars, but all of that is probably going to crash pretty soon and they're going to be screwed if they don't get rid of it all.
