The only outdoor rubber basketball I'll play outside with is the Nike "Dominate" outdoor basketball. I've picked up a couple from Goodwill and they have lasted many years of pickup ball and still look and feel good.

Always this price at walmart.
I bought this about a year ago for my 3 year old because he NEEDED to have a black basketball.
It's perfect for messing around in the driveway. It holds air...mine has held it's shape...does what what we need for a cheap ball.
