For the people that are concerned about this not having a headphone jack all you need is a USB C dongle. It works perfectly and in some cases it is often better than the headphone jack. Here's the best selling one on Amazon and it's super cheap.

The US economy is contracting in real terms but not nominally. I think we'll see prices for this phone and other higher end models fall even further when the jobs market rolls over.

This kills the phone for me:
"Unfortunately Motorola ships the Edge with a lot of crapware: Facebook, TikTok, and surprisingly for an unlocked device, software from Verizon. Much of this cannot be removed and even has infinite access to your device and its data, such as the unremovable "Facebook App Installer" that lets Facebook install whatever it wants, any time, on your device. That plus the Chinese TikTok dubiousware make trusting your Moto Edge with personal information a big ask. Even Verizon has a footprint on this supposedly unlocked device with apps like "Verizon App Manager" among many others."

Doubt it.
The 2021 edge+ will be different. I bought it but never used it. My four other coworkers who did, hated it. Dane complaint along all of them, just pure sluggishness. the edge+ 2020 was much better in their opinion
Spend the extra money and get the edge+ 2022, which imo is the best phone ever, better than my main s22u

Good info.
And if it's like most other newer Moto phones, the bootloader is locked and unless XDA came up with something; I doubt there's an easy root method, process for this model...which if the bloatware claims you quoted are true, would be a must for those not wanting that BS running.

Where did you buy your phone from?

If it helps, I bought this when it was on that sweet sale at Best Buy for $299 a month back or so. I love the phone so far, and to your concern, I immediately updated the phone to Android 12, and was able to uninstall Facebook and TikTok just fine. Didnt try to uninstall while on Android 11, as i immediately did the update to 12. There was no Verizon apps at all, so not sure about that. The only junk left is Moto stuff, which doesnt look uninstallable regrettably. For $300 bucks, it was a steal, relatively speaking of course.
