Don't see the benefit of Samsung OLEDs when they don't support Dolby Vision. Especially when they're so much more expensive.

QD-OLED tv's have much brighter individual colors than a WOLED does because of it's pixel structure. Specific colors get hundreds of nits brighter than on a WOLED. Dolby Vision is nice to have, and it's ridiculous Samsung doesn't include it, but you can get the same panel tech in the Sony A95K with Dolby Vision. The Samsung OLEDs are actually priced cheaper the LG G2 line and have better performance overall.

This is a QD-OLED with a different pixel sub-structure... Overall, a much brighter OLED panel

The Samsung site is a little buggy, clear out your history and cookies and try again. It might be good luck it didn't work as the price just dropped to 1724.99 for me.
Ding, ding, cleared my cache, and now I see $1724.99!!! Awesome scojoh!!!

Odd - I've been checking the price daily. I didn't see that adjustment. I'm glad you were able to get it!
Clear your cache and try again! I tried with a clean browser and see the 1724.99 price! Go! Go!

I have the 65" KS8000 currently, was thinking about stepping up to a larger size (sitting about 10' away from TV) but don't see the option for this in 75". Any thoughts on comparable models from other brands? I've been exclusively Samsung for my last two TVs and just now starting to research the move to OLED.
I used to own the KS8000

You will be blown away by the Samsung S95B...brightness and black levels

If you have to have a 75...then a QN90A is probably you best bet
It will be much better black levels and have better local dimming performance than the KS8000

Thanks, yeah it's probably time for an upgrade and kinda committed to going larger for my next tv, so maybe the lg 77 c1 is where it's at

Maybe I'm thick here - is this something legit - or is he filing a fraudulous claim every year and using the claim $ to buy a new set with new warranty .. repeat?
Not once has it been a manufactured or fraudulent claim. That's your assumption and an incorrect one. I've had one OLED with burn in, one HDMI board failure from a storm that killed my UPS at the same time, and a One Connect box/cable issue(the dumbest refund ever considering they could have just sent a new One Connect and cable). However, I am very aware of how these companies operate at this point and almost all of them pretty much automatically will try to low ball a replacement set, then will payout if you refuse the really bad, lowball offer with a specific explanation of how the offer is inferior to your current set. It's like they don't even try to fix OLED sets or any higher end set, even for more minor issues. This is likely a matter of part availability or cost since they don't really do any board level repair. This is also likely because I usually wait for very good discounts for a TV before purchase so the margin between repair and replacement is even smaller. You won't find a TV built these days that doesn't seem to have some issue crop up over several years of ownership. File the claim, give them the information they request, see what happens. This is why I hope to continue rolling on but I'm sure someone at these warranty companies will figure out how to fix OLEDs or FALD LCDs at some point.

I was able to get the $1725 price to show up for the 65", but only with EPP and not EDU. Might be limited to just EPP.

I saw this in Chrome (iOS/Windows Versions) and iOS Safari. Just checked again in iOS Chrome and see the price. I use a edu email to login.

Is it possible to get the best buy warranty when picking up from best buy?
I second this question.
Is it possible to get the Best Buy warranty if they chose to pick up at a Best Buy store instead of delivery to home?

Just got the qn95b. I had qn90a for 2 months (long story but worked out that I got ride of it). I find the qn95b to be stellar. It's 85", so OLED wasnt an option. Nevertheless, IMO is on par with OLED. Not sure what the complaints are about the new Tizen menu. I think it MUCH better, and settings in now just 2 clicks away instead 5 or 6 on qn90a. The picture definitely has more depth, and in this regard, it equal to OLED. Blooming is not an issue whatsoever, and I see improvements in motion, less judder with all settings off (which was intoleraable on qn90a, had to use judder reduction).

One connect, and all the other features are nice to have.
