You're comparing a 32" 16:9 monitor to a 38" ultrawide curved monitor.

I think the point here is they are two monitors in different classes with some fundamental differences in specs, makes the comparison being made kind of moot.

It's the thunderbolt 3 connection that drives up the price. All usb-c monitors I've seen are overpriced tbh

great buying experience from best buy - had a defective one they exchanged right away - really like this monitor - geek squad warranty is highly recommended.

What does the geek squad warranty entail? Is it included or extra?

Just picked this one up on the company card last month and really love it so far. Checked every box that I was looking for (screen size, curved ultrawide, IPS, refresh rate, thunderbolt, 95 watt power delivery). I'd considered going for the 40" 5K but realized that 40" is basically a TV and is just too big for a desk.

You can get a 48" LG C1 OLED screen and a 34" QHD ultrawide monitor for about the same price as this thing if you play your cards right. $1200 is crazy talk at this point for such a small panel.. LG brand name or not..

Beware of burnin.. LG wouldn't honor their warranty on burn-in.

If you spend 8hours a day working the extra 4" matter. Side by side apps are way better. You can use a C1 has a monitor - the glare and heat pressure alone is bad forget about neck posture.

may I ask which one do you have? I was no aware there's a 144hz gsync ips panel with usb-c pd, that would be everything I need, TIA

completely worth it tho (depends on your usage obviously) I have a U3818 that's similar to this one but without the 144hz panel, I connect 1x personal pc and 1x work MBP to it, also have a personal MBA that I sometimes use, in the 2 years that I've used it, I never once had to connect my MBP or MBA to the charger, it's so convenient.
