I own this... You likely won't find better for this price. It is noticeably brighter than any of the sub $150 projectors you'd find on Amazon. Make no mistake though, it still needs to be basically dark to get a good image from this.

The only issue is no real keystoning and the way the unit is designed its meant to sit flat. So you have to raise it to the height needed for where you want it projected. Not a quick thing to setup on-the-fly if you want to maximize clarity and low distortion.

....that said, of you want a movie night and willing to figure out the best placement for dirt cheap - this is it.

Made a follow-up post with confirmation of specs.

As for the naysayers in this thread...What the ever loving **** are you doing in a 55 dollar projector thread? You obviously only think projectors have one use case and thats to be brighter than the sun. Since your view is so effing narrow, I can't fathom what your minuscule brains thought they would find in this deal, but it's pretty apparent you're insane.
What they meant for 'Portable' is easy to move/carry it from one place to the other. It does not have built in battery. I purchased this projector fron previous deal and returned it. FYI, projector has native 1080p, and if you keep your screen size to about 40 inch, it is quite watchable even with low ambient light. But it wasnt just enogh for me. If you really want portable projector, invest little more and get Xgimi Halo or Wemax Dice, highgly recommend it.

Don't expect too much from this. You get what you pay for. I had this and I want to return it.

This thing won't focus right. The color is not vibrant because it is not bright with only 150 ansi lumen.

Don't waste your money. I wasted mine. I am regretting.

How do these cheap 1080p projectors compare to older but expensive 720p projectors?

... I have an older Dell 720p one, wondering if something like this would be an upgrade

Can you connect a bluetooth speaker to this? Don't mind cheapo image quality, but if you can't bump up the sound, then that's no fun.
You would have to use a media player like a fire stick or a google home, or any other media stick and connect the bluetooth speaker to that.

In 90% of cases will be far far worse as long as your 720 was a home cinema type of projector.

In 4 one because I buy snake oil.

Went to their company website. If this is basically the XiaoMing Q1, then it supposedly has 2GB RAM and 8GB storage, though both of those were in reference to Amlogic T972 SoC rather than memory. as well as 7800 mAh battery built in.

I'll still take all of that with a grain of salt, because there's no telling what the manufacturer did to change its specs to rebrand their products for US sales.

What kind of bulb?
I don't see any mention of LED

How dim would it be if used to project holiday theme on the side of the house - flying ghosts, snowflakes, etc.

Dual-Fan Cooling System

How noisy is it? Can you sit next to it and watch a movie without going mad?

Per Jayceooie review, Fan noise is about 39db which is not too loud. While music/movies are playing you wont hear anything. This guy Jayce reviews a lot of projectors. Here is a review link for this projector: https://www.jayceooi.com/wewatch-v30-se-review/

Chose express shipping for 1-2 business days which was free when I checked out on 8/8 and got it today on 8/10 which is pretty great.

Still have to test it a bit but so far so good. It does take a bit of finagling to get it projecting straight onto my wall without any angle. (I temporarily have some boxes stacked on top of my sofa so I have to arrange them until they are parallel to the floor.)

Definitely worth it so far and more than comparable to the budget/native 1080p projectors I've tried on Amazon. (I've tried maybe 4 different models.)

This seems to be better than others I've tried for less than $100 other than the lack of keystone correction which is a bit of a bummer but I can live with it after getting the right setup.

I also have this one from Amazon when it was on sale for about $70 but it has screen tearing at 1080p 60hz so I have to set it to 50hz: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1

So far this one doesn't seem to have screen tearing issues. Will have to test this a bit more.

I have one. It's basically a toy, but a pretty good toy for $55. Don't expect this to be the center of a home theater.
