140-170 lumens is pretty low. I just installed a 1000 lumen led cabinet light for my work bench and thought it wasn't bright enough. I doubt augmenting this light will help much.

I actually bought the 6 packs for $54 after tax with the half price discount. Basically it's about $9.12 if sold separately. Which I think it's worth it.

My experience with these "rechargeable" under cabinet lights has been dismal. After less than a few days they completely sel discharge. The batteries in them are pure junk.

Just get the plugged in all the time ones,
Yes you will need to get ac to the power supply, but you will actually have light whenever you need it.
