Was looking for the currrent price of an Adirondack Chair I purchased earlier from Northern Tool and stumbled on this current deal for a pair of hemlock adirondack chairs. Order a pair.

Absolutely a great price, but no, these are essentially a woodchair. A commenter commented about putting marine varnish over the wood before assembly. I personally have stopped buying wood outdoor furniture and I'm only using the synthetic recycled plastic materials which are considerably more expensive but future-proof.
Get another $5 off with code "280977". No need to enter your email Smilie

$58 for a pair of adirondacks from real wood is very slick. Throw in another $20 for a high quality outdoor sealer and you got a lifetime set on your hands. Way better than the resin ones that seem to be everywhere nowadays.

Delivery today. I assembled two chairs (of the four I ordered.) Honestly, quality is somewhat better than I'd feared. Pretty comfortable, too; I tend to find Adirondack chairs too deep (I'm 5'9") but these are slightly smaller and fit well.

You'll definitely want a powered driver with a Philips head. Watch out if you've never driven screws and especially if you're using an impact driver for some reason… the wood is soft and the supplied screws aren't great so you can easily overpower → strip or split. A 10mm crescent wrench or socket is handy too.

also delivered today. took about 4-5 hours to assemble 2 including cleanup. chair feels light for a wooden chair, but feels sturdy and comfortable when sitting in it, although would have been even better with a greater recline angle.

so, this afternoon's project turned out to be to put these chairs together. i found a shade tree as the temp was pushing 108 and set up two plastic saw horses and a piece of plywood for a table. opened the box and laid out all the pieces according to number. when putting these together pay attention to any piece of wood that is not pre-drilled and only micro pin punched. for example in the first segment the top cross board. on one chair that board split a little on both ends when the screw was put in. you might want to pre-drill those kind of holes. also, the very last cross board right below the front of the seat needs those 2 holes on each side drilled out some else you will end up stripping the screw heads. was interesting putting the chairs together and if a piece fails in the future i can fab another piece of wood and easily fix. plan on getting the teak sealer and sealing the chairs as is.

Great info! How many chairs do you think that 32 oz sealer can stain?

Also great customer service by Northern Tool! I had forgotten to apply the coupon code when ordering initially and they provided a refund of the $5 + tax when I reached out to them and received the email confirmation today.

I bought a 5 gallon of ready seal, because I need to stain my fence, so I figured I'd use same color. I haven't done it yet. I bought that Wagner airless paint sprayer that was posted on SD from QVC and waiting for it to arrive.

Just put two of them together. First one took about an hour and a half, taking my time. Second one took maybe 45 minutes. I'd recommend a 10mm socket or wrench.

The quality isn't terrible, but definitely not worth much more than we paid. I'm a bigger guy, but can still fit somewhat comfortably on it. Definitely better for smaller folks.

Agreed with the above. Just put mine together and they are about as good as you expect for $60. Certainly would not be paying $100 for these but they look like they will be great additions to our patio. Next step is to seal them ... I was going to do so before putting together, but with so many pieces, it seems like doing it once it is together is the easier option.

I also got the Wagner sprayer? I still haven't figured out what kinds of paint i can put in it.
Would I be able to use this sealer (that was recommended earlier) in it? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B8YZ37B

These chairs suck. Keep the hardware and us ease firewood.

What sealant will you be using? I'm trying to decide between teak or a darker stain. I'm location in AZ, so I'll probably get some covers for them too

Will let you know, haven't decided on one yet. Still working out if I should stain or not.

I'm in Vegas so also will probably get some covers.
