I bought one of these last year. Decent little light for $15-20. Good battery life. Simple 1 function on or off, but it has no zoom between spot and flood. It's always pretty tight. It works great for finding various worms, squash bugs, and other pests in my garden at night. It takes a while to scan a large area though looking at maybe 6" diameter spot at a time.

Good idea! Never thought of using this light for pest hunting. I use mine to charge up glow-in-the-dark shirts and other products I make on the 3D printer.

Yep. Works awesome for that too. Haven't used this one for it yet (due to Covid preventing trips) but I've had some cheap crappy portable blacklights/UV tubes for charging fishing lures. I've tried it for those just testing and works as well as sunlight.
You find all sorts of weird uses for a UV light once you have one.
