I am researching also not finding the a good info on their labor day sales.. Good deal on your eBay Note 20. I got mine for around 268 and its also in decent shape than the pictures.
I am really hoping for a good deal on S22 Ultra for Activate Later to make it easier.. Fingers crossed.

Just got back from local BB (Gilbert, AZ) and got the deal. My BB location is undergoing renovation, so they closed off the store, and are operating out of a 'kiosk' near the entrance. They told me they didn't have capability to 'activate' any phones, but could do the trade-in no problem. The rep had to call over manager, since he seemed to have heard about the deal but didn't know how to run it through. I heard the manager say enter the code 'Samsung', but there was still confusion on their side for where to enter it.
They kept asking for my phone number even though I clearly stated I wasn't activating with any carriers. It took them about 20-25 mins of phone calls and several attempts on different PC's in the kiosk, but they finally figured it out.

So end result, they gave me the $800 (GC + coupon) for my $180 ebay donor Note 20 5g, and I took home brand new Flip 4 for $230 (including tax).

Probably gonna wait till Monday to open it to make sure no suprise deals pop up on 'Activate Later' S22U, but happy with the deal either way.
Appreciate all the great advice on getting it done.

I see. The activate now price for s22 ultra is $899 for upgrade and $799 for new lines on Att or tmobile. there is $35 activation fees also.

You have to click on "see details" under the price to get more info.
No activation fee with Tmobile, right?

Congrats :-) Did you get the activate now price or later price? Also did you get a $100 GC or was the $230 is after using that GC too?

After seeing disappointing prices for activate later, I have been exploring activate now options..

Chatted with BB and the below is what they said..
They can only do $60 plans. There is $35 activation fee (even though web site did not show).
They only do personal accounts and do not create new lines for business.

Chatted with T-Mobile and below is what they said..
They can do business as well as personal (I am just trying to avoid credit pull for just to get a phone and I hv an LLC to use if required).
They can do $20 talk and text plan as well.
$20 activation fee. Waived if phone is capable of doing e-sim.
Cancel plan at anytime as these are no contract plans(BYOD)

So we have an option to get a new line in personal account with $100 discount in BB which will end up as $60+$35 fees. still around $900 price.
Or get a line in advance from T-mo and only pay $20 but the cost would still be $900 for the phone (before trade).

Debating on this. But was really hoping for a Activate later price for these S22U phones in the 800ish range Frown

I did the 'Activate Later' deal since I didn't want to go through hassles of trying to activate on one of the major carriers, even if I could save $150 that route. I'm on Boost, and perfectly satisfied with unlimited everything for $25/month.

I did not get the $100 GC, since as far as I know it's only for TotalTech members (i.e. from the website "Plus, Best Buy Totaltechâ„¢ members receive a $100 Best Buy e-Gift Card with purchase.") I think TotalTech costs $200/year to be a member.
Good luck trying to go the 'Activate Now' route. I'm hoping in next couple days, they'll have deal where both are same price, and I can get a price match rebate for that $150 difference.

Oh got it. I am a total tech member and I did not realize the $100 GC is shown because of that..

I was also thinking about the PM route, but they have only 14 days return and the trade in deal ends by 10/2. Hopefully something they do this weekend for the Activate Later price for these models..

But you have a good deal on Note20 too. It shud all work out and a PM later would make it sweeter..

I did this Pixel 6A trade in to get inflated value on my iPhone 7, but now worried that this won't work out well. I got the new Pixel 6A and I will say that the resale isn't seeming great when I paid +449+tax from Google and already Amazon is selling them all day long at $399 and Ebay prices lower of course. Worried that something will get rejected in my trade in (I still haven't even gotten their trade in "kit" mailer) and with the very short return window from Google, I'm going to end up upside down on this deal. Wondering if I should press ahead or just return the phone to Google and go back to selling my iPhone 7 on Ebay. If they do give me the promised $290 for the iphone then I have a little room to discount the Pixel more and still come out better than market price for an iPhone 7 today, but if they screw me over and send back my trade AND I'm stuck holding a new Pixel at $480 including tax when market price is $350 or whatever before fees, then ugh
What is the best case scenario profit here for you? Cause it seems like you are banking on some tiny margins for the risks you feel you are taking.

$800 for "upgrade" through vzw as well? Or only for "new line" at Tmo/Att?

The $849 upgrade price lasted till around 3-4pm on Tuesday and then backed up to $900. And I believe that the new line with Att/tmo has been $800 for a while. Not sure if I missed anything for real as I have been monitoring the "upgrade" price with vzw every day and I did not notice the $800 drop unless you were referring to new line price.

Dang I missed that S22U drop to $800 yesterday. Thought Monday's one day dip to $849 was the lowest this week. . .
Yeah it's been bouncing around all week. S22u 256 is back up to $1049 instead of $1000 but wonder if it drops back down on Monday? Upgrading my wife's Pixel 4 xl.

I've seen the S21 average around mid to upper $300s, but occasionally down to around $250. I stopped looking at Note 20s because there seemed to be less of those going for lower prices, but it doesn't hurt to look. Flip 3s are around $350 and up as their values increased recently (likely due to the F4 trade in deals) and have yet to settle down.

eBay/other selling sites really need to have some way of hiding items and sellers. When you're looking to buy something it's too easy to come across things you just don't want. For things like this there's always tons of "for parts only", cracked, blacklisted items and then you keep seeing them again. You could always get the really lower priced items that are more blemished but then you're skirting the line on acceptable trade in or not. Bring in a questionable item and if it gets rejected you're left holding a donor phone you didn't really want. I felt better spending a little more for a phone I was sure they'd take.

I thought I wwas following the thread closely but also don't remember seeing the S22 Ultra drop to $800, in general. Unless I missed something it may have been what you pointed out - the slightly lower price for AT&T or T-Mobile activate now price.

Maybe it was this?:

Just came back from BB with a S22 Ultra for $800+tax ($22.xx after trade in $500 coupon) so paid only tax to move from S21 to S22U. No activation, did not access my tmobile account. Everything was done in under 15 mins. Not sure what he did but it was simple process.

ETA: 128gb unlocked version
Juku: what does it say on your receipt? Is it just the phone? When I bought my VZW activated S22 Ultra it showed the phone and SIM card on the receipt. However, when I bought my S22+ with no activation, it just had the phone and a spot that says "UNACTIVATED". If your receipt says UNACTIVATED I think you may have gotten the phone in a small window of time that it actually did drop in price.

For vzw, it had been showing $1100 off (including trade-in through vzw), that's dropped now to $1050 (it had been sitting at $1100 for a while). Hoping the $300 off comes back, I'll bite at $200 and might consider upgrading my 21u with the Samsung trade-in if so

F... I drove 100 miles to get used iPhone 12 pro. One best buy lady said she can give only $425 and extra $50 not the $900 in the ad. I showed the promo screenshot with the step still she is adamant. I will try next one.

If not iPhone 12 pro I got for $350 is not bad eitherSmilie

How far away is the next one!?

* Call corporate while in the store. I had a manager trying to tell me a 10% off mover's coupon didn't apply to Apple merchandise when it clearly stated in the terms it did. They just make things up, they don't really know what's going on half of the time. I had a corporate supervisor set them straight on speaker. It was extremely satisfying.
