Being reading some post mentioned about extra 100 off with TMO activation. Can anyone elaborate how this going to work? Thinking trade in my s20 fe toward s22, was regret didnt pull the trigger last week

I asked the BB employee specially. He seemed to be knowledgeable about the whole process. He said the phone doesn't need to be unlocked, but he needs to know locked to which carrier so that he can enter info for the reseller. He accepted my trade in locked to xfinity.

If it's not the unlocked version, the trade in coupon won't scan. I got lucky and a manager basically applied a manual discount to match the $500 coupon, but that seemed like a one time fluke. (They told me it would work for TMobile before the transaction and then seemed very motivated to make it happen)

So $100 extra coupon is still active? I am planning to trade in s21 unlocked for flip 4 on tmobile. Should it end up being free?

If you had bought an unlocked phone and activated it on T-Mobile, everything would have worked just fine. The coupon only applies to unlocked phones, but you can activate an unlocked phone on T-Mobile (and, depending on the current deals, still get a discount on the phone for activating).

that extra 100 is supposed to be with new line activation. I dont think it can be automatically applied unless the staff overrides the price.

I've done this deal with T-Mobile activation twice so far and it's always automatically applied. I watch what the agent does on their screen so I know they didn't do anything special to the price. It's the same where if you add the phone to cart online and choose activate today on T-Mobile or AT&T, it lists the price as $100 less than the others and charges that price automatically.

I see it online when adding to cart (see attached image) so it's still active and you should be able to get that price in-store as well. It's not a coupon, just activating a new line on TMo or ATT is actually priced cheaper.
