Which is exactly what you want in a tablet right?

With much less room for cooling, the CPU will be throttled no matter which one you choose. The i5-1140G7 here has a Passmark of 10075 with a 15w TDP. The i5-1145G7 has a 10213 Passmark but a 28w TDP. I'd rather have the i5-1140G7.

If you check the comparison reviews of these Intel tablets, the CPU chosen does not directly reflect in performance because each brand has different cooling systems and different design priorities.

Looks like a good deal to me. Nicer in a lot of ways than the Lenovo X12. The keyboard runs another $120 or so on eBay.

Don't waste your time! The seller will try their best to not refund your full purchase of a refurbished laptop if you have any issues or don't like it. Had to ask ebay to step in after seller wouldn't respond after a week. They seems to have a bunch more negative feedback now, you'd think their business practices would change but no, same mindless thinking.

LMAO two dislikes without a response? Prove the seller isn't a dumbass, because they are selling garbage. From 98.x feedback to 97.7 since the last I left my feedback.

Keep trying hold onto those refunds newtechie, I WILL get every cent back you imbecile. Learn how businesses work

Yes, precisely. You're correct about everything you've mentioned. I was just stating that for people who aren't aware of this set of CPUs.

There's indeed no need to put a relatively power hungry CPU in a tablet form factor as it would do more harm than good. With the CPU in this, multicore performance is the only thing that's affected, the single-core performance is still great and on par with other Tiger Lake-U CPUs.
This performs better than the X12 as well as the SP 7+, except for in the graphics department in which it's just ever so slightly behind.

Also, this has an internal fan unlike the SP 7+ (it only has it in the i7 SKU) and it does run loud if put under heavy load.

The less power hungry CPU also does wonders for the battery life. Despite having a 40Whr battery, which seems low on paper, it has a battery runtime of around 10-11 hours which is significantly higher than the SP 7+.

eBay is one of the safest places to buy used/refurb stuff. If it arrives damaged, or does not work, or is not "Like New" as the listing says, then eBay handles the entire return process directly....the seller has no input. You get all your money back and do not pay shipping either direction.

In this particular case, the seller pays shipping both ways if you just do not like it. Amazon does not do that (except for a few clothing categories). The 2 year warranty is through Allstate, not the seller. You get that emailed to you by eBay before the product arrives.

I have never bought anything from new.techies, but 97.9% positive is very good for a company that sells used/refurb stuff. In their negative feedback I see stuff about them not being fast to respond, and not providing technical advice. I see nothing about them refusing to accept returns.

I do know many people do not feel comfortable buying anything that is not new factory sealed. That's fine. I have purchased things on eBay from other vendors that were not as described....but in the last several years eBay has put in place policies that are a lot more buyer friendly than they were in the past. If you do not mind the hassle of shipping something back...then there are some great refurb/used deals on eBay.

I have never dealt with new.techies, but I see nothing sus about them.
Typically, returns should be allowed on eBay for any reason, regardless if it's defective or not (for instance, if you changed your mind). However, I see that this seller mentions this in their return policy:

Code:
For products returned in used, different condition and/or factory package seal was broken less than full refund will be issued.
I'm not sure if ebay would side with you in case you want to return for non-defective reasons.

In general I agree, but there are a lot of tech reviews of the Dell 7320 that show great battery life on this model. See this one. [notebookcheck.net] They got 11 hours Web Surfing and point out Dell made decisions (like not going to a 2k/4k display) to improve battery life. Other reviewers got different times....but most all said it was a strong point.
I get your point. I admit absolutely it's a decent windows tablet with great screen (especially that 3:2 ratio as my preference) and specs with this price point. If I'd choose a WinTab for web browsing mixed with light productivity work, this is the one, not surface pro or Thinkpad.
Being that said, if choose a tablet for media consumption only (or most of use), there maybe lots of other good options like Galaxy Tab S7+ which could fall into $400ish, with gorgeous AMOLED screen with 16:9 ratio, higher brightness with HDR, and better battery life (easy 10hrs+ for watching videos).

Without any sale or discount, it's $199, at least on Dell.
But I'm sure you can get it for much cheaper on sale or 3rd parties.

P.s. The keyboard also comes with a pen, if I'm not mistaken.

I agree this seller is suspect. I had to open an ebay case after they said the problem was with my router and not the laptop.... meanwhile all 49 of my other devices were fine. Buyer beware of this seller. I got my money back but it took awhile.

I'm not saying you won't get your money back, but it will take 2 weeks if seller doesn't ship and doesn't respond. eBay doesn't care if sellers suck or don't communicate.

Wow, this is latitude Dell, professional line unlike Inspiron or even XPS. A year ago or so people were paying full MSRP or even more. But keyboard is a must have. I'd buy it right away, but got too many enterprise windows machines already
