This is such a lame "deal". Less than a year ago this exact shoe was on sale for $97 from Zappos. Same shoe. Here we are and the Bondi 7 is hitting clearance and the price is $30 higher. This is not slick at all.

HOKA/Decker's is a greedy company. All the retailers have the same "discount" price because HOKA tightly regulates third party pricing. In other words there is no competition between the retailers. HOKA controls everything. They even ban the use of discount codes. My running club code does not on HOKA products at RW. Hoka won't allow it. This comes off like a cranky rant but this shoe company is single handedly responsible for the spiraling inflation we're seeing in running shoes. They started the practice of restricting third-party discount codes like those used at RW a couple years ago. Now other manufacturers like Nike and Asics have followed Hoka's lead and prohibited retailers from allowing promo codes on their shoes.

People should know that HOKA is owned by Deckers Outdoors, a footwear conglomerate. Their HOKA segment has seen profits climb by over 50% YoY for the past 3 years. This is big money. They're taking in so much money because they keep hiking the price on their shoes with each product refresh. This is not about covering costs (commodity inflation). It's about greed and bleeding the customer. A couple weeks ago the company delivered their latest earning results and the CEO openly bragged that price hikes were not deterring customers and that they would continue to raise prices to boost profits EVEN MORE.

Stopped by our local running store this weekend to recycle and old pair and they had them marked down, too but it wasn't advertised online at the time (it is now). If you like to support local, probably worth calling.

Personally would go for the New Balance Fresh Foam More V3 @$115 than this. Same max cushioned idea, but New Balance is not only as soft but more springy. Been using a pair for easy day/recovery runs and an older pair as my walking shoes. I guess NB is considered boring so it doesn't get as much fanfare

what are folks opinions on the HOKA Bondi 7 vs something like brooks glycerin 20? Do you feel much of a difference? I find the brooks easier to find on sale.

I have the hoka carbon one one x right now but they are getting worn out. How are these in comparision to the cushioning? I am training to run a marathon this year and looking for nice cushioning on my old joint and knees.

The Bondi 8 is being released so I was hoping there would be some deals coming on the Bondi 7. I have a pair of Bondi 7 and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had.

The Bondi 8 have been out for about a month. It looks much better. I have the Clifton 8 and a Bondi 7. The bondi 7 looks like a podiatric shoe.

I have Glycerin & Ghost (and really can't notice a difference between the 2) but I LOVE the Bondi 7s. So much cushier! I'm not a fan of the looks of the 8s so I'll likely grab another pair of the 7s while I can. And yes, they're trickier to find on sale.

Great price. Beware though, once you wear these shoes you will never want to go back to another brand.

These are max stack max cushioned. They are definitely not for everyone. They are not for daily running and can make one injury prone if they don't work with the biomechanics of one's stride.

And hoka shoes tend to break down far too easily and quickly the past few years.

Thanks OP - a Hoka deal that FINALLY includes some wide widths. I generally use Saucony and am looking forward to trying Hokas for the first time.

I've got about 10 pairs of the Glycerin's which I was a convert from the Kyano's. I tried the Bondi's on a recommendation from a coworker and absolutely love them. It's like standing on a trampoline. My wife, daughter, and neighbor also now wear them based on my recommendation. We all have various feet problems from a neuroma to plantar fasciitis. I highly recommend that you try them out somewhere.
