Graco X5 / x7 is slightly more which are much better sprayers. These refurbs are always available, and direct from Graco with a 1y warranty - all on eBay. The Graco products are solid.
not much of a Slickdeal though.
I've had a Graco Magnum X7 for nearly 20 years. To tell you how long I've had it, I bought it on Amazon back before they charged sales tax. It's still going strong. I do make sure I've cleaned it well and put pump armor in it before I put it away. I've painted several houses with it, several decks, my church and my shed. Prep takes way longer than painting. It doesn't pay to pull it out for small projects as the 50' hose holds about a gallon of paint. I did buy a 25' hose but have never used it. When mine quits, I'll buy another one just like it.
Guys have to shop for Graco deals if their Magnum breaks

Not a Slickdeal. They sell these all the time, including X5 model and X7. One wonders why so many "refurbished" are sold? BTW, for about $20 more X5 is a much better machine.

I'd guess because people "rent" them from the stores. (Buy, use, return.)
Bought a refurb X5 sprayer from this same vendor a couple years back. The unit came in good condition, although some of the inner components for the hose connections were seized and I had to follow the troubleshooting guide to disassemble, loosen, then reassemble in order to get it working.
Once that was done, setup for a sprayer like this is still prohibitive for small projects, but boy does it do a nice job and is faster and more consistent than other methods of painting by a shocking margin. I used it to refinish a used bedroom set we received for our son but wanted to match the rest of his furniture. It produce a finish much smoother than I have ever achieved with rollers or brushes, and looked like a factory finish. Really amazing. And the painting itself was incredibly fast.
This isn't a tool for everyone, but if you have some bigger projects to do, a sprayer really does make them easier.
I have an air sprayer for use with 55 gallon drums. Could this be setup (with a longer suction hose) to paint direct from a 55 gallon drum? I go through a drum about every 2 weeks.
For what it's worth, I have the Graco X7. I don't know how the X7 compares to this one, but I absolutely love my X7. It was great during the spraying and the cleaning was exceptionally easier compared to other sprayers I used. If this Magnum is anything like the X7, this is a great deal.

I've waited years to buy one, which is better? I was going to stain a fence mainly. I'm too lazy / lack skill to paint my house, I'd pay someone.
