Doesn't actually have mechanical switches, has regular rubber dome switches according to https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/r...h-keyboard

The keys that are missing on this keyboard that frustrates me are…

1. The Print Screen key
2. The application pop up key which is useful for bringing the context menu without using mouse right click.
For context menu you can use shift+f10 key

Picking this up for my son who seems to go through keyboards every couple of years.
If I get 2-3 years out of this, I'll be happy.

That is how you take a cropped screenshot, but the Print Screen key actually has a number of associated shortcuts that take the screenshots instantly. For example, Alt + Print Screen instantly screenshots the active window.

There may be a way to emulate the key another way though.
You could probably emulate Print Screen by writing a simple autohotkey script.

I just ordered one of these through my job a month ago and the mouse wheel squeaked to the point where I had to do something about it. I opened it up and lubricated it with the oil I bought for my shredder and now it's as quiet as a... well... mouse (outside of the regular mechanical clicking sound when you scroll).

I have the first one, I don't think it's mechanical…the keys are mushy but it's quiet so it's decent. Only issue is that it doesn't have a raiser so it sits flat on the desk and can be awkward to type on.
Riser/raisers are actually bad ergonomics, causes you to bend your wrist upwards. My work has ergo assessors come around and advise people to not use them.

Same thing with wrist rests, it supposedly puts pressure on the arteries in your wrist which is bad over time. A lot of supposedly ergo stuff is apparently unergonomic.

I'm using the 900 keyboard+mouse bundle right now at work. I love it so much I ordered it for my home. It is NOT mechanical. The keys are very soft, squishy, and quiet. The mouse is meh.

I have several sets of the earlier series 800 model and I really like them.

Of the four posted links, some are just the keyboard alone, and others include the mouse (all for the same $19.99 price), and also, some are RF and others Bluetooth.

For me the mouse is fine--and yeah, I am on my computer pretty much all day with it, but for work, not gaming.

One other fact to keep in mind--if you get a Bluetooth version, it is not usable during boot to hit F12 and boot from an alternate boot device, or to get into BIOS. If you do not do these things normally, then RF vs. Bluetooth will not matter.

The Desktop 900 is NOT bluetooth. Single USB dongle gets both.

You can get Microcenter Inland brand for this price everyday. Sorry, not the BT edition. It is wireless.

No mouse? The kb does not incline.

I have 6 of the 800 model. They're much better. Unsure why they always need to "improve" things by making them worse (like the missing keys mentioned above for example) Discontinued of course. So I buy them used on Ebay when one pops up available, usually 10-15 bucks. Highly recommend the 800 though as a great cheap keyboard. (and I normally hate Micro$oft stuff so that's saying something)
